Bellatrix was dead, and now Rose, Orion, Nick, and Hermione saw Voldemort dying—or rather, burning alive in front of them. They should have been surprised and disbelieving, questioning what was happening. But here they were, witnessing and accepting that a mere 15-year-old boy was responsible.
Because this was no ordinary boy. This was Orion D. Ambrosius, a descendant of Merlin himself. And although they didn't know it, he also had the blood of the greatest white wizard of the current era.
They observed the boy standing there with his bright blue eyes and white hair, watching the blue fire consume the dark wizard with an emotionless face.
"Well, that takes care of that… Now it's time to end this farce we've had going on for too long. It's been going on for way too long, and I'd rather just end this today," Orion said, then turned to look at Nick.
There was no emotion on his face anymore, but a sharpness in his tone that no one missed.
Once he killed that second-hand Harry Potter, all he would have to do was handle that little soul seed Voldemort had placed in Rose, and they would be almost done here.
Seeing that Orion was about to take action against him, Nick was now on his guard. He had become strong, but barely as strong as Voldemort. His plan was to use Voldemort against Orion to kill him—let Voldemort exhaust Orion and then kill him.
But now Voldemort was dead. Orion had practically toyed with him, and now Voldemort was gone. While Nick's survival wasn't necessary, he needed Orion to be harmed or at least exhausted in the fight.
Which, indeed, would have been the case if not for the exponential increase in Orion's magical power after going to the Fate World.
Nick held his wand in his hand, ready to defend himself and Hermione.
"Oh, come on. You really think you can stop me? Why struggle when you already know the outcome?" Orion replied, rolling his eyes.
It seemed that another conflict was about to take place, but just as Orion was about to attack and end this cat-and-mouse game once and for all, something happened that completely took him aback.
"Blurp*"
Orion saw Hermione, who was standing just a little away from Nick, suddenly take out her wand and point it at Nick. Nick didn't even realize it, as he was facing Orion at the time.
A green light shot from Hermione's wand and struck directly at Nick.
Nick's eyes widened. He might have felt what just happened and who did it. The only thing he could do was slowly turn back before his breaths stopped and his life slipped away, looking at the girl he wanted to protect the most.
"Wh…?"
He wanted to ask 'Why,' but he found his body stiffening, and the next second, he could only fall to the ground—dead. Still, his face was pointed at Hermione, who was looking at him with cold eyes.
Orion was stunned, needing time to process what he had just witnessed. He remembered what Hermione had told him, but why kill Nick?
He was about to ask, his mind in chaos and desperately needing answers. Opening his mouth, he tried to speak, but no words came out. Perhaps it was because he wasn't sure what exactly to ask the girl he could no longer recognize.
"WHY?" Orion finally shouted, mirroring Nick's unspoken question. Despite not caring much about Nick's death—if anything, he wanted to kill him himself—he still needed to understand why. He wanted to know.
But no answer came from the girl who was now merely staring down at the dead body.
Orion felt Rose, who had been standing behind him all this time, come up to him, standing beside him with equal surprise and confusion.
"ANSWER ME… What the hell is wrong with you? If you wanted to kill him, then why stop me all those years ago?" Orion shouted, a hint of anger creeping into his voice.
"What's the deal with this girl?"
But no answer came, just like before. Before he could ask again, something happened that made his eyes widen.
He felt something—something strange from his side. As he turned his head slowly, he saw a dagger embedded in his side.
And the one who attacked him was none other than the girl he had been showing his back to all this time. After all, if there was anyone he believed in this world, it had to be those two girls. Now, one of them had literally stabbed him in the back.
He didn't move; he just looked up to see the girl who looked like Rose but didn't smile like her, smiling at him with a strange glint in her eyes.
"Ah… it took forever to figure out how to handle that defense of yours. It wasn't easy, I tell you, but with enough snooping around, I finally found out," Rose said as she twisted the dagger still embedded in Orion's abdomen. The pain made Orion wince and grit his teeth.
"Anything you don't want to come near you will never, a very advanced application of the Law of Space. Color me impressed… For someone to even learn Law is unheard of, let alone mastering a major law to this level.
Honestly! If I didn't know better, I would really believe that you are from his line. That old man was a menace, but even he wasn't this good at your age."
Rose moved toward Hermione slowly while Orion went down on one knee. The injury wasn't just any normal wound; it was a magical dagger that prevented him from magically stopping the blood flow.
"You are not Rose." Orion, finally noticing the missing ring he had given her, saw that it was an imitation. Despite the lack of light to check her shadow, she gave him the same feeling as both Morgan and Hermione.
"Hahaha… A little too late to figure that out, aren't you?" The girl who looked like Rose replied with a smirk. Slowly, her form began to change. Her height increased, her clothes changed, and her face altered.
She no longer had red hair but white, with a pair of beautiful yet dangerous-looking purple eyes.
'Morgan, I knew something wasn't right…'
But that form lasted only a few seconds before her face changed again. Although her eye color and hair color remained the same, her face became even more beautiful.
This was a face he remembered. He had seen her back in America, and he was sure it was her.
"Where is Rose?" Orion asked, now more worried about Rose.
