Chapter 273 - Chapter 273 : Shadow 2

"You're a wild ain't ya!," Morgan greeted with a warm smile. "I saw what happened with Malfoy and his friends earlier. An impressive display of magic." She added as she sat down beside Orion.

"Thanks," Orion replied curtly, his guard up. "And you are ?."

"Don't mind but I don't remember your name, we are at the tournament together right." Orion remembered but he just wanted to ask again.

Strangely the girl wasn't deflated at this at all, in fact, she smiled even more and offered her name again.

"Nice to meet you, Morgan." Hand help it, Orion just had to converse back, he needed to get some information out of her if possible.

Morgan nodded, her curiosity clearly looked piqued. "Your defensive magic is quite unique. I've never seen anything like it before. What exactly was that spell you used?"

'huh knew something was wrong, even if she is just a normal girl, there is no way I am saying what is infinity, even Rose and Daphne don't know yet.'

"An alternative of protege," Orion said evasively. "Helps to keep trouble at bay."

Morgan raised an eyebrow, not entirely convinced by his vague answer. "You must be very talented to perform such advanced magic like that at your age, especially wandless. Where did you learn it?"

"Around," Orion answered, not offering more than that. He was wary of giving away too much information.

Morgan seemed to sense his reluctance and changed the topic. "So, what do you think of the Triwizard Tournament so far? It's quite the challenge, isn't it?"

"Maybe, we'll know when we start the first round," Orion replied, keeping his responses brief. "I don't think that it will be that hard."

Morgan continued to probe gently. "I heard you entered the tournament under unusual circumstances. You and Rose are both quite young for this competition."

Orion's eyes narrowed slightly. "We were chosen, and we're here to compete. That's all that matters."

Morgan smiled again, trying to break through his defences. "So you are not at all worried about the first test, interesting, I must say that the things I heard about you kind of live up." She said with a little smile on he face.

"Is that so, do tell me what you heard about me, hopefully only the good things. " Orion asked with a little raised eyebrows

Morgan's expression turned thoughtful, a smile playing on her lips. "Things, though those don't matter, though even I am kind of interested about your name? Is that real, your connection to Merlin? Is that true?"

Orion stiffened slightly. This was a topic he didn't want to delve into, especially her. "I will tell you once I know myself, I only get identified by that name after coming here to Hogwarts because of that stupid book of admission, before that I was just Orion."

Orion said while rolling his eyes, also making sure that he expresses his irritation with this issue to the girl, hopefully, that she will take the hint and stop annoying him.

Unfortunately for him, she ws undeterred and pressed on. "You must be incredibly powerful if there's any truth to that. Merlin is a legendary figure."

Orion decided to steer the conversation away from himself. "What about you? You're the Beauxbatons champion. How are you finding the competition?"

Morgan smiled, her face not showing any shift. "It's been challenging, but I enjoy pushing my limits. The tasks are difficult, but they're also a chance to prove myself."

"You want to prove yourself, to whom," Orion asked, keeping his tone neutral.

Morgan studied him for a moment before speaking again. "You know, you don't have to be so guarded. We're all in this together, facing the same challenges."

Orion's eyes met hers. "I'm not guarded, I have a personality which naturally repels people away ."

Morgan nodded . "Okay okay, fair enough." She said as she raise her hands in peace.

"You no fun, here is a beautiful girl trying to talk with you and you are acting hard to get." She said with a little amuse tone and pouted.

"Yeah sorry to disappoint but nowadays I am not into talking much."

"Oh, so what you are into then,?" She asked with a little narrowed eyes.

"I just skip to the good part."

"Oh, and whats the good part ?" She asked.

"Depends who's asking, but definitely not talking."

"Huff, did anyone ever told you that you are annoying." Reply Morgan with narrow eyes.

"Yeah, I learn from the best." Orion reply while thinking about one annoying old man and smirk.

"Well then Mr Ambrosius, I wouldn't mind knowing what this good part is from you someday, but for the time being, see you around."

With that, Morgan gave him a final smile before turning to leave. Orion watched her go, still feeling a sense of unease. He couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to her interest in him than simple curiosity. As the tournament progressed, he knew he had to stay vigilant and keep his secrets close.

"There is something going on, I alone am just not enough to handle all this shit, that Merlin just had to go trap himself in another world at this time, sigh".
