Hogwarts.
The atmosphere in the Great Hall of Hogwarts was noisy and chatty with excitement as the students eagerly awaited the arrival of their guests from Durmstrang and Beauxbatons. Whispers and hush voices buzzed around.
At the front of the hall, Dumbledore stood with his usual calm demeanour, ready to welcome the visiting students. The doors to the Great Hall swung open, and the first to enter were the girls from Beauxbatons.
Their arrival was nothing short of enchanting. They moved gracefully, almost gliding across the floor, their powder-blue uniforms shimmering as the candlelight lit up the room while small blue butterflies conjured out of them.
The Hogwarts students watched in awe, their eyes wide with admiration at the elegance and beauty of the Beauxbatons girls. In fact, many suspected that many of them were Veela.
Next, the doors opened again, and the Durmstrang students marched in with an air of power and discipline. They wore heavy furs and dark robes, their presence imposing and formidable. The Durmstrang students moved with synchronized precision while stabbing their staff in their hands on the floor, making the sound while moving and fire was flying around them constantly.
Dumbledore stepped forward to greet them, his smile warm and welcoming. "Welcome, students of Durmstrang and Beauxbatons, to Hogwarts," he said, his voice carrying through the hall. He extended a hand to the headmasters of both schools, who accepted it with nods of appreciation. "We are honoured to have you here for the Triwizard Tournament."
The students of Hogwarts applauded, some still whispering excitedly about the impressive arrivals. However, in one corner of the hall, two girls were less interested in the spectacle before them.
Daphne and Rose watched the proceedings with mild interest, but their minds were elsewhere. "So, this is it," Daphne said, glancing at the Beauxbatons girls as they took their seats. "The famous Triwizard Tournament."
"Yeah," Rose replied, her tone distracted. "But you know what? I hardly care about all this right now."
Daphne nodded. "Where the hell is he? Did something happen?"
Daphne turned to look at her friend, concern clear on her face. "You've mentioned him a lot lately. Do you really think it was him who saved you from the Death Eaters?"
Rose nodded vigorously. "I'm sure of it. His hair was white, and his face looked different, but I knew it was him. His voice was rough, but when he spoke to me, I recognized it. He said he was sorry about not writing to us before he...hmmm he killed all those Death Eaters." Reply but the last part was nothing but a whisper.
Daphne's eyes narrowed slightly. "Then where he is, he should have been here weeks ago. Even Dumbledore couldn't find it."
"I don't know," Rose admitted, frustration creeping into her voice. "But I saw him, Daphne. He wasn't looking good. He seemed... changed."
Daphne frowned. "Do you think he's in some kind of trouble?"
"Well if he is not then I will truly doubt him being Orion, but a trouble he can't handle... I doubt it," Rose said quietly. "He never came back to Hogwarts. It's like he's disappeared."
The sound of applause brought their attention back to the front of the hall. Dumbledore was still speaking but that was when suddenly the door of the great hall again opened.
A little to drastic if anyone has to say as it made more noise and a huge change in the air pressure.
Zoop.
As the door opens, everyone snaps their head only to see a boy standing there, looking quite familiar but still different. Dark Blue eyes with a little dark circles forming under his eyes and a little scowl on his face. Whitehair while wearing Hogwarts uniform.
Rose seeing this perk up. She immediately knew who this person was. Daphne took a little more time to recognize the person but when she did, she shouted out the name for everyone to hear.
"ORION."
Other people unlike both Rose and Daphne were tense. Though the boy was wearing a Hogwarts uniform they don't remember him, never seen him. And this was more true with students who came from other schools .
Dumbledore, Snape and other teachers were on the same boat. The way Orion opens the door and not being able to recognize him makes them tense. Maybe a part of this was also becuase of his face.
"Ambrosius, what are you doing here? You are late.
VERY late." Snape immediately snapped after seeing Orion slowly walking in without saying anything.
Orion who was trying not to move too much or too suddenly cause of his headache was walking slowly towards both Rose and Daphne.
He stopped and slowly looked up at Snape. Irritation seems to be a part of him since he came back and now this.
He outright ignores Snape and looks up to Dumbledore.
"We'll talk later." He said slowly, the voice was low and a little rough, and his irritation at even speaking was clear at this time.
Dumbledore hearing his just looks even more confused. Right, he can't sense any magic coming from Orion. Making him frown. He can't sense anything from him, nor can he read his face. But one thing was clear.
Orion wasn't looking like he was in the mood to speak at all. So just to not make any mess here, remembering what Orion too was capable of, he just nodded.
Snape saw this and suddenly anger came to him. Orion completely ignores him.
"Ambrosius. I asked you something. Rules are the same for everyone here in Hogwarts, even for the Mr Celebrity like you.
Or was it that you thought that just becuase you are famous that you will be an exception." Snape said.
He really wanted some payback, and though he knew that he couldn't do that with force then considering the situation, why not use this to shame the boy in front of everyone?
Unfortunately for him. Orion wasn't in his right mind at this time to take any bullshit like a good little student like he usually does acting like a model student.
Orion slowly turned to Snape, he was deliberately slow with his movements. Any sudden move was nothing less than hitting his own head with a hammer.
"Did you hear Dumbledore saying anything? And he is the headmaster.
He is okay with it and I will tell him why.
So when he has nothing to say, why do you have your ass on fire to know where I was ? " Orion said and immediately the silence which was occupying the hall intensified.
People were stunned, gaping even. McGonagall's eyes were wide.
Dumbledore had a feeling that something was wrong by just looking at Orion's face. Now he was right.
Now he internally knew that Orion D. Ambrosius was not like how he was before.
