After the gatherings of Kings, as Orion calls it. He put all his time into learning how the magic in the command seal works.
The seal works as an Anker to bring heroic spirits from this world who were long been dead back to life to aid the masters.
Orion wanted to change that, not much just so much that he could actually even bring people from his own world here. Now that would just do the trick.
Thanks to not having any particular artefact to bring a Heroic Spirit, he was behind compared to other masters, but if his plan worked then he could solve that problem.
So he invested a significant amount of his time, which he previously desired to spend while reading manga and playing games in altering the seal for his desire.
Though the connection itself was established between his world and HP's world through him in the seal, it seems like the seal he had wasn't suitable.
The problem was, the seal wasn't working when he tried to summon a mage or a wizard to be exact.
'Hmm, it's most likely that I got the seal from Berserker. Meaning I too had to summon a berserker class servant.' Orion had never been this annoyed before. Well, he has been but at least the situation wasn't ever this dire.
Even though after knew what could the problem be, he kept on trying to find a way around it. And thus he tried once again to make it work.
Just as he was about to summon his servant or at least failed spectacularly for another time, a surge of powerful magical energy near the Mion River caught his attention. This was a powerful magical spike, enough to draw his attention, Abandoning his summoning ritual for the time being, he decided to investigate this disturbance.
Not like he was getting any success with Summoning anyway.
Near the Mion River, chaos reigned. Caster, almost deranged after his last fight with Orion, had used the blood of countless innocents to summon a monstrous creature—a gigantic tentacle beast with unparalleled regenerative abilities.
The sky above darkened as the beast rose, its grotesque form casting a massive shadow over the city. It was a good thing that it also created enough pink mist to almost cover its figure and it was nighttime so that it was well hidden. Well almost well hidden. There were still people who saw this. After all this was happening in the city.
The people fled in terror, and the normally peaceful riverbank became a battleground.
Responding to an urgent call from the Church, the Masters and their Servants converged at the scene. Saber with Iris; Rider with Waver; Archer (Gilgamesh) with Tokiomi Tohsaka; and Lancer, with a little chance in her master, Sola-Ui, all arrived ready to fight.
Well Not Gilgamesh, he was just flying up with Tokiomi in one of his noble phantasms. I was just there to watch the show.
Each looked at the giant beast and had only one thought in their head, that they had to stop the caster—not just to protect the city's inhabitants, but to maintain the secrecy of the magecraft world.
Saber, her sword charged at the monstrous creature. She struck a decisive blow, but the creature's wounds healed almost instantly.
Lancer was behind her, doing the same but those normal attacks didn't even put a dent on the monster.
"We can't do it like this. It's too big for your weapons to work anyway, let alone the beast can heal." Artoria said.
Lancer nodded. Contemplating what they can do. After all, with this level of regeneration, it's almost impossible to kill the monster.
A rider using his chariot was able to fly and cut off the big tentacles but even they healed up almost in no time.
Gilgamesh, standing aloof with his golden armour gleaming, just enjoyed his wine, not planning on doing anything.
Tokiomi tried to make Gilgamesh take down the beast but Gilgamesh just shut him up.
Pondering whether he should use a command seal, he just pursed his lips. He already used one and he will need those in the time of the grail. He can't do that.
The Masters watched in growing frustration and horror as their Servants struggled against the monster. Caster, watching from the core of the monster gave a twisted smile.
And in the middle of that when Orion arrives there.
"What in the world is that? A freaking Kaiju. Is this Fate World or fucking monster verse?
Damn it, I should have watched the season 2." Orion almost cursed as he stood on top of a building and he teleported there to see the giant creature.
Orion knew that with the sheer size of the beast in front of him, normal attacks wouldn't work. Even attacks like Red and Blue won't work.
He was watching intently and noticed the regenerative power of the beast. It's mostly that it will recover from his attacks.
Orion pursed his lips and thought about it. But he just didn't have enough info about the monster to know. So he just Teleported himself close to the beast.
"Saber, Rider...
What the hell is going on." Orion shouted the moment he reached there. People who saw him teleporting were surprised.
Saber knew that Orion could teleport or open a portal but to even her this was still surprising.
"Did he just teleport?" Waver look at Orion with a gawking face.
Tokiomi on top of the golden ship also noticed this and narrowed his eyes. He knew that Orion D. Ambrosius was a strong mage, Gilgamesh said to him that even he wasn't able to teleport inside his hotel room.
Not to mention, Orion was the person who not only killed Berserker and his master but also his own student. Kirei with his servant. Currently, besides maybe a caster, there is no enemy more dangerous than this unknown young mage.
Tokiomi uses all these channels to find information about Orion but to no avail. Gilgamesh too looked interested in this and watched with expecting eyes.
Orion on the other hand just ignored the surprised faces and looked at Saber, expecting her to explain everything clearly, which she did.
"So none of the attacks are working ?" Orion repeated and looked at the hulking figure of the monster which was almost the size of a Biju from Naruto or Kaiji from Monsterverse.
'Maybe Fiendfyre...' Orion started pondering what could help.
'No... it will take time to completely burn it, what if the monster enters the city after getting set on fire? I can't control that fire that well either.
Protego diaobolica is the same.
To take down this scale of monster, I only had one spell.
But will that work?
Even with two hands, I have a hard time controlling over power red or blue.'
"It's hard to believe a caster could bring something this big into the city. How the hell did he even do that ?" Weaver asked, with frustration.
"Don't panic, this will just make the situation worse." Rider reprimanded.
"He stole the life force of man people. Convert that into magic.
What you are seeing is the result of that. Its Dark Magic." Saber said as she saw happening before.
"Dark Magic indeed," Lancer said helplessly.
Rider seems to have a solution as he knew someone he could do. But before that, Orion spoke.
"Yes, dark magic.
But it's still magic.
Bad luck for the caster.
Becuase I am here." Orion said, their talk suddenly cleared his mind. He almost forgot what made him special all this time.
This just perfectly aligns with his goals.
Not only he will get the magic but the regenerative powers.
Sweet.
