After ensuring Credence was safe with Dumbledore, Orion finally allowed himself a moment to feel relieved. The situation with Grindelwald was something else entirely, but now it was over, he was planning on going back to his place but wonder why not check on Elena while he was at it. So, without wasting any more time, he opened a portal and returned to America, heading straight to her home.
The moment he arrived, he felt his stomach drop. The house was in ruins, blood smeared across walls, and lifeless bodies lay scattered throughout the rooms. Vampires and wizards both, their bodies strewn across the floors in the aftermath of a brutal fight.
Orion for few seconds just couldn't move, all the blood in front of him froze him in his place, its not like he haven't face death in fight before but this much blood. This was the first time.
Usually magical fights are not this bloody. But it make sense if there were Vampires here.
'Those darn Vampires…' And then when his mind was done processing what he just saw after coming here, anger came rushing to him with full force.
Orion's heart pounded as he took in the horrific scene. A cold dread settled over him—something was deeply wrong.
Pushing forward, he began to move through the house, searching frantically for any sign of Elenora. With every room he entered, he found more and more bodies, some of them vampires, others wizards who had clearly tried to fight them off. The deeper he went, the worse the scene became. Blood stained the carpets, furniture was overturned, and scorch marks from spell blasts covered the walls. But there was no sign of Elenora anywhere.
This place wasn't just a home for Elenora but many other wizards live here, those vampires didn't leave anyone alive, not her neighbours, neither the wizards away from her house. The entire place was dead, filled with blood and gore.
"Elenora!" he called, his voice echoing through the empty halls, but there was only silence in return. Orion's anxiety turned to fear as he raced from room to room, scanning every corner, hoping desperately to find her, hoping she was just hiding somewhere safe. Yet, with each passing second, his hope dwindled.
In his hurry he didn't even thought about using his Law of Presence to find Elenora. He was too much shaken to think of that right now.
At last, he reached the final room, it was Elenora's study. He hesitated before opening the door, bracing himself for what he might find. But as he entered, it was clear—there was no one left here. The entire place was destroyed, blood and destruction everywhere.
A hollow feeling settled over him. He stood there, surrounded by silence, the weight of the moment pressing down on him. He clenched his fists, his jaw tightening in with anger.
Taking long deep breath he just stood there, half a mind to use some sort of grand magic to completely eradicate an race.
However, he first needed to calm down, he knew that the way he was right now, he won't be getting anywhere. He needed to calm down and think.
He went back, once again going all over the entire place, looking for her, this time not just the nonexisting living but also the dead corpses.
Doing so was hard due to all the blood and gore but he did it nonetheless. And by the end he was glad that he didn't find anyone among the corpses that he knew.
However, now come the question that if she wasn't here then where is she ? Checking the corpses, he knew that those vampires didn't attack to eat, they just kill. A hint of anger pass through him but he calm himself down. Right now finding Elena was the most important.
'They haven't eaten the corpses, so there is no one missing here at least. So it's either that those Vampires took Elena with them or they didn't get her in the first place.
I can only hope that its the latter.' Orion purse his lips and then got up, once again he was ready to look around the place, maybe he left out something. Any clue, anything which can lead him to Elenora.
So, he went around all over the site of crime once again, looking for anything which can lead him to Elenora.
Unfortunately, he didn't found anything, nothing until he found himself back to Elenora's study. This was the only place which was less bloodied for him to not rot his nose and not to go berserk.
He just sat there, his head pulsing with blood, as all of his instincts was telling him to just let go.
That it won't take much, just one and then no one will dare to touch anything he love, like, Cherish.
To hunt down those vampires and completely eradicate their race once and for all.
But the more rational side of his mind was telling him to refrain from doing anything radical.
This was not his own time, anything he do here will have unseen consequences to the future. He can gut those blood suckers after going back.
Sitting on a completely destroyed sofa which had the least blood on it, he was clenching his head and just thinking.
He long realized that something wasn't right with him too, his mental state was not right. Ever seen he remember he had taken too much pressure from the day one. This has finally coming down on him, crushing his spirit.
All this power but its feel like he didn't had spirit to do anything. Everything look lack luster now.
After some time, he was about get up and call Dumbledore about what happened here but that was when his attention fell on a very familiar briefcase on the side.
His eyes narrowed, suddenly he remember that that was Elena's basic briefcase, very similar to Newt's briefcase.
Jacob was able to go inside it back then, so maybe…
Instantly getting up, he walk upto the briefcase and open it, "I hope you are inside there…." Orion cross his fingers and then jumped inside.
