Zoey was picked up from college by Sebastian's driver. He drove her to the company. She was trying her best to give Sebastian's company her all, even though she had no knowledge about what her position was all about.
Zoey got into a rest room downstairs and changed in to her corporate uniform for her job as the chief operating officer. She hurriedly climbed the upstairs that leads to her office.
There were some documents she was to prepare for Sebastian for an upcoming meeting.
....
**Zoey's office***
Zoey entered her office, staring round the office perplexedly. She had no clue about what to do in there. The documents were lying on top of her table unprepared.
Zoey sat down on a chair before the table, grabbing her head with her hands.
"What should I do with these?". She questioned herself.
Still in a confused state, she heard the sound of the knob of her door getting twisted. She lifted her eyes up, staring at the door. A woman on glasses entered inside her office.
"Good afternoon, what do you want?". Zoey asked her rudely, because she didn't knock before coming in.
"Just checking up on the CEO's daughter." The lady said to Zoey sarcastically, adjusting her glasses.
Zoey haven't met her before and it was obviously her first time setting her eyes on the lady. Zoey ignored her presence, fixing her eyes on the documents at the table. She had no clue about what to do at all, but she was pretending like she was working on those documents. She didn't want the lady in her office to know that she had no idea about what she was doing.
"It seems like you're busy with something." She said to Zoey, peeping from afar.
"Can you excuse yourself from my office?, or I'll be forced to call the security to take you away." Zoey replied her with a cold tone.
The lady rested her hands on the table, staring into Zoey's eyes. She had seen Zoey struggle with those documents and she obviously knew that Zoey had no clue about what to do with those documents.
"You're really a novice. You don't even deserve the position your dad gave to you. You'll end up ruining things for him." She insulted Zoey bitterly.
Zoey got very angry and pissed off by the insults she received from her. She sparked up immediately, pushing the documents aside. Zoey stared into her eyes fuming with anger.
GET OUT!!!." Zoey commanded her with a loud voice.
Her voice was so loud, that it attracted one of the staffs in the company. The lady got scared by Zoey's guts. She quickly walked out of the office, flinging her hair left and right.
The female staff approached Zoey on her table, to find out the reason she flared up earlier.
"Young miss, are you okay?". Mary asked her concernedly.
"Yes I'm. Who is that woman by the way?". Zoey asked her inquisitively.
"I don't know who she's, but she has been close to your father these few days and I always see her in your dad's office." Mary exposed.
Zoey was really shocked to hear all of that. She stood up from her chair, handing the documents to Mary. Mary carried them on her hands, confused. She obviously had no clue about the reason Zoey gave her those.
"Help me out with those documents. It's for the next board meeting. Prepare something nice there." Zoey ordered her.
Mary nodded her head, while Zoey walked towards the exit door. She was planning to go over to Sebastian's office and ask him about the strange woman she met with earlier. Mary followed her behind leaving the office too.
Mary went downstairs to the sector where she works in, while Zoey headed over to Sebastian's office that was just a throw away from her own office. Getting to his office, Zoey knocked on his door entering inside.
Sebastian was rounding up with signing some business deals on his table. They were in form of documents and they were really plenty. He wanted to partner with so many companies now that his company was still at the infant stage, so that when it gets to the adult stage, it will be at the top.
"Father!!!." Zoey called him from the door.
She called him authoritatively, and Sebastian obviously knew that the tone she used in calling him was the same tone whenever she's angry or upset. Sebastian looked up, turning his gaze at the entrance door. Zoey stood there like an angry bull that had smokes coming out from her head.
"Zoey please come and take a seat. You don't look happy at all." Sebastian pleaded with her.
"Of course I'm not happy." She responded back at him angrily, approaching him on the table.
Zoey grabbed a chair, sitting down before Sebastian. He found her angry face so cute and he couldn't stop staring at her face. Zoey inherited most of her traits from me.
"You look cute with this face." Sebastian said to her.
"You're teasing me dad. Who was that lady on glasses that came to my office uninvited?". Zoey questioned him inquisitively.
"A lady? On glasses?". He asked her with a surprised look.
Zoey shook her head, getting irritated by his naiveness. She described the lady's physical features to Sebastian, and he quickly realized who Zoey has been talking about since.
Sebastian snapped his finger with his eyeballs widened and shinning so bright.
"That should be Sheila Baker. That's my childhood friend. Her father is Mr Baker and he helped me a lot back in Manchester." Sebastian explained to her.
"Was that the reason she insulted me bitterly at my office?". Zoey asked him.
Sebastian was surprised to hear that Sheila insulted Zoey. He quickly called her over to his office, since she was still hanging around in his company. It was obviously clear that she has romantic feelings for Sebastian, even though she was being careful not to show it.
"Knock, Knock." Sheila said loudly from the entrance door.
Zoey turned her head backwards, hissing out angrily. She really detest Sheila and it was mutual between the both of them. Sebastian signaled her to come in and she cat walked inside, just to irritate Zoey and get on her nerves.
"You shouldn't have called me inside, knowing that your daughter is also here." Sheila said to him, giving Zoey some dirty looks.
"Sheila I'm only respecting you because of our friendship. Mind the tone you use, whenever you are addressing my daughter. She is more important to me than you are." Sebastian informed her angrily.
Sheila got so mad when she heard his reply. She looked at him angrily, not able to control the anger she felt inside of him. She clenched onto her fist, breathing fastly. Zoey romanced her hair, rolling her eyes at Sheila with a mischievous smile.
"Thanks dad. That was all I wanted to hear from you." Zoey thanked him with a smile.
"I hope you are no longer angry?". Sebastian asked her.
"For now I'm not, but I hope she keeps being on her lane from today. She's really no match to me at all." Zoey said, referring to her in a sarcastic manner.
Sheila couldn't take her insults anymore, and she quickly rushed towards Zoey, raising her hand to hit Zoey's face, but she hanged her hand on the air. Zoey brought down Sheila's hand, walking out of the office with her shoulders held high.
After Zoey had left, Sheila turned towards Sebastian's direction, facing him. She was about to give him an earful for the act he displayed infront of Zoey earlier.
"What was the meaning of that huh? You knew me before that young naive silly girl." She insulted Zoey infront of Sebastian.
"Mind your tone Sheila. That girl is my daughter and she will always come first before you." Sebastian reminded her.
Sheila shook her head angrily, walking out of Sebastian's office. He obviously didn't want anything to ruin that friendship, knowing that it might bring problems between him and Mr Baker. Mr Baker was among those that contributed lots of shares in Sebastian's company and he was more like a godfather to Sebastian.
