Amist the whole situation at the moment, Jasmine needed me to get distracted by the recent situation. She noticed that I have been so sad these few days. I couldn't just pretend about the entire scenario because my secret was outside now.
It was weekend and it was obvious my days of resting before starting work the upper week which was on Monday. I was trying to keep myself happy by playing a card game with Zoey at the living room, when we heard a knock at the entrance door.
She decided to go to the door, to check out the person knocking.
She opened the door quietly, surprised to see George walker in our home again. Her face changed immediately she saw him, and she just frowned and walked away. George came in, and was glad to see me at the living room.
Jasmine heard the noise and decide to come out of her room, to check if George was in our place already.
It seemed like she was aware that he would come. She was obviously the one that called him over. Jasmine and her little tricks.
"George?!!." I exclaimed his name in surprise.
"It seems you're getting better now." He said to me.
"No she isn't." Jasmine immediately chipped in from afar.
I turned my head backwards, giving her a dead stare. She winked at me, approaching us. George sat on a couch, facing my direction.
"Why did you come early this morning?". I asked him.
"You haven't given me any reply yet, concerning my offer to you." George reminded me.
"Oh about that, please give me some time to think about it." I said to him, heaving out a sigh of relief.
Jasmine sat her butt next to me, while I looked at her wondering what she was up to now. Zoey stood next to the couch I was sitting on, folding her arms with a frown on her face. She wasn't happy at all.
"Would you mind going on an outing with me?." He asked me out of the blues.
"You mean I or Jasmine?". I asked him, popping my eyes at him.
"You of course. I'm free today. It's fine if you refuse to." He said with a smile.
Zoey looked at me with her side eyes, waiting for my response. She was also waiting to see my reaction towards his request.
"Uhm..I don't think so." I stutteredly replied.
"My mum is busy today. We are sorry about that." Zoey said to him rudely.
"She's just being shy. She has nothing on her to do list today." Jasmine revealed.
I squinted my eyes, looking at Jasmine. She had so much guts. Jasmine has her way of freaking me out atimes. Zoey was mad at Jasmine's response.
She was becoming tired of the whole George stories. Those topics were obviously boring her.
"Mum, remember you and uncle would be escorting me to a swimming centre today." Zoey reminded me.
"Yeah that's true." I immediately said to her, even though I had no idea about that.
That was my way of escaping the outing with George. George was obviously disappointed and annoyed, even though he tried his best to appear cheerful. I could see through him.
"It's fine. Maybe some other time." George said to me with a smile.
"Please forgive me." I replied him, nodding my head with acted moody face.
"Did you really have to do this?". Jasmine whisphered to me disappointedly.
I smiled at her question, pretending like I didn't hear her at all. Zoey was glad that the outing got cancelled. At the same time, the excuse she came up with has to be prepared for, since she has already said it.
We have a swimming to prepare for. I started regretting why I didn't say no to Zoey. I can't go on a swimming with Sebastian.
Zoey won this time, and she saved me somehow. That would be my way of appreciating her for saving me from this man called George Walker.
Zoey held my hand, standing me up to my feet. She dragged me out of the living room, taking me to Jasmine's bedroom. Getting there, I pulled out my hand from her clench. She smiled at me mischievously, while I was looking very famished.
"Thank you for listening to me today." Zoey said to me with a smile.
"Going for the swimming is not necessary. That was just an excuse we came up with, to escape from George." I said to her.
Zoey shook her head in disagreement, while I gave her a dead stare. She was about to do the unthinkable again. I squinted my eyes, fixing them on her face.
"We'll still be going for the swimming." She said to me.
"Go on, I'm not interested." I said to her, about leaving the room.
"Should I go back there and tell Mr George that we lied?." She asked me from behind.
I turned backwards, looking at her surprisedly. I didn't want her to do any of that. I took a deep breath, already tired of Zoey's ways of threatening me. I returned back into the bedroom.
"Fine. I'll prepare for it."I said to her.
"I'll give uncle a call then." Zoey said to me smiling satisfied by my reply.
She left me all alone inside the bedroom, while I headed towards a corner of Jasmine's bedroom, where my dressing box was lying on. I opened it, searching for some swimming trunks that would be good for the swimming.
"Zoey is really a handful to handle." I muttered to myself.
Zoey returned back to the living room, pretending like we didn't have any conversations inside. George decided to stay over for breakfast, since he didn't have any before stepping out of his home.
**Two hours later...
Zoey informed Sebastian about her plans for weekend and he was obviously not preparedness for that. He sure didn't have any objection to that, because he didn't want Zoey to appear sad before him again.
Sebastian was already packing in his swimming trunks into a black bag at the living room. Liam entered the living room, wondering what he was up to now.
"What're you doing man?". Liam asked him curiously.
"Zoey wants to go on a swimming with I and her mother." Sebastian said to him.
"One big family." Liam said sarcastically.
Sebastian was shocked to hear that, and he wanted Liam to clarify him by what he actually meant. Liam realized his words, and regretted spilling such suspective statement.
"What do you mean by that huh?". Sebastian asked him, giving him some weird looks.
"I'm kidding." Liam pulled up a fake laughter.
Sebastian shook his head, zipping up the bag in his hands. While they were still discussing, they heard a knock at the door. Liam went after it, and realized that it was I and Zoey at the door. Now that he knows the truth, he has been acting so weird and out of the box.
Zoey was glad to see Sebastian all prepared for the swimming. Liam exchanged glances with me, while I tried my best to appear cool before him and his friend.
Sebastian was ready to go, and he obviously left with I and Zoey. Liam couldn't stop staring at us.
"The three of us are here once again." Zoey said, walking in between I and Sebastian.
Sebastian looked at me, while I turned away my eyes from him. I wasn't ready for this, but I had no other choice than to accept Zoey's suggestion.
We boarded a cab that took us to one of the best swimming centres at Manchester city. The view of the swimming pool was really nice and welcoming.
We got changed into our swimming trunks, and headed over to the swimming pool.
"Both of you should enjoy your swim. I'll sit down here and watch." I said to them, grabbing a seat for myself.
"Mum don't do this now. Please come and join us ". Zoey pleaded with me, but I refused.
Sebastian held her hand, taking her into the swimming pool. I didn't want any physical contact with Sebastian at all. The day was already a long day for me. Both of them enjoyed their swimming together, while I enjoyed the nice view of the swimming centre. Some couples and their families also came to swim too. The swimming centre might really be that popular..I guessed.
★★An hour later★★
We were done with the swimming centre, and Zoey suggested we visit a nearby restaurant to grab something delicious to eat, because she was obviously starving.
Sebastian treated us out, and I was kind enough to thank him for his kind act. Zoey ate to her satisfaction. I packaged my meal, suggesting I microwave it when I get back home.
"Thank you for all that you do for my child." I appreciated Sebastian on our way back home.
"I'll always do that for her over and over again." Sebastian said to me.
"I wish you were my biological father." Zoey said to him.
I turned towards Zoey, reminiscing on her words to Sebastian. I started feeling uncomfortable, and my old wounds got reopened again. I remembered Zoey's missing certificate and my fear of the truth being revealed, heightened again.
