Wei Fang woke up feeling refreshed.
A healthy body is really the best!
He never felt this good before; it felt like every cell in his body had become alive and lively.
He got out of his room and started practicing the Raging Fist.
Wei Fang started the punching routine. But it was different from the normal punch, as he must used his entire body to execute it.
He must channel the power he got from his foot when it landed on the earth, coordinate the movement of his waist, and control the tautness of his torso to achieve the strongest punch he could launch.
He tried it several times but only managed to channel the strength from his foot to his fist. But because he couldn't coordinate his waist movement, and the tautness of his torso properly, the power was scattered along his body.
But Wei Fang still persisted. He knew that it would be useful for him because it would give him a firmer foundation.
The reason many people didn't have a proper foundation in their cultivation was because the technique that benefits the foundation was hard to train and had little to no impact on improvement, so many people ignored it, only to realize it when it was too late.
The Raging Fist mainly gives a foundation for controlling one's body strength. So if one wants to thread the path of body cultivation or close combat, it is a must have technique in the Azure Cloud sect.
Wei Fang, of course, couldn't miss it; after all, he already had a high-grade body tempering technique from the system—the Body Forging Method—but just didn't have the right resources to train it. He believes it would not be long before he could train it.
It was also the reason why many people didn't train this seemingly unimportant technique, because not many people train their bodies, and it didn't give them an increase in strength but only gave them more control over it.
But for Wei Fang, there was something that would show him the results of his training with the Raging Fist. As long as his mastery increased, he could feel the effects of it. It was through the Fly Swatting Palm technique.
When he experimented with the Fly Swatting Palm and got the right amount of qi to accelerate his arm swing without being injured, it was when he was still in the 3rd level of wi condensation, and now he was already at the 4th level.
The maximum amount of qi he could use in the 3rd and 4th levels was obviously different. But he didn't dare to increase it blatantly because if he increased it too much, his arm could end up injured. He also didn't have the healing ointment anymore, so it was unrealistic to do an experiment like before.
Unexpectedly, when he trained the Raging Fist and his control over his strength increased, he could feel how much his arm could handle the acceleration using the Fly Swatting Palm. Of course, it would just be a rough estimate, but it was enough for now. He reckoned that when he mastered the Raging Fist completely, he could always know how much acceleration his arm could handle every time his strength increased, even without experimentation.
Maybe there would also be other benefits, but he still didn't know and needed to explore it more in the future.
After finishing his practice, Wei Fang cleaned himself up a bit and went to the alchemy hall.
Along the way, he saw many people pointing at him and whispering among themselves. Most likely talking about his crippled meridian.
News really travels fast! Wei Fang couldn't help but wonder. It seems there were many idle disciples in the sect.
When Wei Fang arrived at the alchemy hall, he saw many people gathered in front of it.
What are they doing?
Wei Fang could hear them mumble about something but couldn't hear the content of it. Some people were looking down at a thick book; he didn't know what it was about.
When he arrived at the alchemy hall, a person stopped him. "Are you here to join the alchemy hall?"
"Yes." Wei Fang nodded.
"The entrance test will be conducted in an hour; you can wait there like the others."
Wei Fang tilted his head in confusion. He looked at the people that gathered in front of the alchemy hall before realization struck him.
They were here to join the alchemy hall. He knew there was a test if one wanted to join any hall in the Azure Cloud sect. But he didn't know what the test was about. Luckily, he already had an agreement with Elder Zhao, so he didn't need to take the test to join Alchemy Hall.
"What are you doing still standing here?"
"Senior Brother, I am here to meet with Elder Zhao."
"Do you think just anyone can meet Elder Zhao?" He retorted immediately. He didn't know where this ignorant kid came from to suddenly request to meet Elder Zhao, even an official member of the Alchemy Hall not necessarily able to meet the elder without appointment.
"I already made an appointment with Elder Zhao; please say that disciple Wei Fang has come to meet her. If Elder Zhao is not available, Senior Sister Zhu Ju is also fine." Wei Fang cupped his fist.
The Senior Brother hesitated; even if he believed someone like Wei Fang would never have a connection to the Elder of Alchemy Hall, he didn't dare dismiss it. If it was proven that what the kid said was true, he would be held accountable. After all, the kid even dared to report his name.
He snorted and came back inside the alchemy hall.
Let's hope what the kid said was true if he dares lie to me... hmph.
"Hey kid, don't try to cut in line. If you want to join the alchemy hall, you must queue behind." Someone suddenly said from behind Wei Fang.
Wei Fang saw that it was one of the people who wanted to join the Alchemy Hall. It seems he overheard something when he talked to the senior brother from before, but not everything. And as soon as his voice fell, everyone's eyes were staring at Wei Fang.
"That's right, you must queue behind if you want to undergo the entrance test."
"Even the senior was also queueing; how can a kid like you cut the line?"
Everyone started echoing their opinion, but it seems not everyone was on the same tune, as several people seemed to be more relieved instead because of Wei Fang cutting in line.
It was like a scene when an oral exam was conducted in school: the one who was confident wanted to be first and be done with it, while others wanted to be as last as possible so they could memorize more answers.
"Let me explain first: I am here to meet Elder Zhao, not to take the entrance test." Wei Fang said calmly.
"Impossible. Do you think you can meet Elder Zhao just because you want to? Who do you think...you...are?" His voice dragged at the last syllables because he saw a woman wave at Wei Fang.
"Junior brother! Do you know how long I was waiting for you?"
"Senior Sister Zhu, long time, no see." Wei Fang said to Zhu Ju and ignored the man.
But the man didn't say anything; he was just staring at Zhu Ju blankly. So, he is really here to meet Elder Zhao.
Among the ones who wanted to join the Alchemy Hall, no one was foreign to Zhu Ju because she was an alchemy genius who once took the entrance test with them.
The man was just watching Wei Fang and Zhu Ju enter the Alchemy Hall without saying anything.
