Comfortably seated in the canteen, two women who were so engross in whatever they were saying and did not notice that majority of their colleagues are no more in the canteen with them The break ended some minutes ago and they failed to notice.
One of the women seated there is pregnant and nobody knows about it,not even her closet friend Kara is the 28 year old pregnant woman who works in a digital based company as the administrator in the company and she is fine with it because it doesn't give her much stress at all, meanwhile her Hailey her friend (closet) is the secretary of their boss.
"So tell me Kara how was you meeting with the handsome business man ",
Hailey said teasing her and Kara gave her the look that says 'Really ' which Hailey nodded to;
"what were you expecting, that I should jump on him or what exactly were you thinking about ",
Kara asked rather perplexed while Hailey's mouth closed and opened like a fish and she said;
"you let a rich, Greek god out of your beauty trap,...you really do know how to waste an opportunity",
"point to correct, there was never a beauty trap in the first place, Mr Reign is not important to me,.. okay,.only in terms of business afterwards there is nothing more and please can we stop talking about this,am getting bored of it",
Kara pointed out the fact and stood up ready to leave but Hailey held her back then looked at her with the puppy face;
"we aren't done eating, okay, don't be made at me,I will stop talking about Mr Reign ",
Hailey said when she noticed that Kara wasn't buying any of those.
"I wasn't mad at you,..and besides am full already and there is no one here anymore ",
Kara said looking at her with a smile which also made Hailey smile.
"you're sure that you are no more angry, But then why do you have mood swings like that of a pregnant woman, one minute you are happy then the next minute you are angry",
Hailey said laughing while Kara released her hand from her grip and walked out and Hailey quickly followed behind
BACK AT THE OFFICE
Reading through some things in her system, Kara suddenly felt nauseous which means that she would have to empty her stomach and she is not ready to go to the down floor to get another food, people might start suspecting.
Taking some crackers to eat which helps in reducing the pressure,Kara rested her head back on the chair and lifted the big wood sweater she wore in order not to expose her baby bump, she rubbed it and calmed her nerves. The rest didn't take much time because the telephone on her desk started ringing and she immediately sat up and pick the call;
" Kara, Mr Ben said that you are going to take the visitor he will be expecting tomorrow on a tour round the company,..well its one of our investors",
Kara wanted to protest, but then stopped herself and then said;
"okay, but when is he/she arriving ",
"Mr Ben is not aware of that, but when he arrives tomorrow I will let you know, just make your self available ".
Hailey ended the call, so Kara checked through her schedule for the next day then went ahead to do some clearing. Afterwards she prepared to go home since it was already getting late. " hope fluffy won't be angry at me for coming home late", Kara thought.
