Summer was in full swing and the Rassenian coast boasted vibrant colors as plants bloomed and the salty breeze off the sea caused leaves to sway.
At a large, circular table underneath an umbrella, Sophia, Luca, Anita, Stella, Gus, Rachel, and Ethan all sat together enjoying a warm afternoon. There were two days a week Sophia and Luca didn't have a bakery to worry about and they always tried to do something with their friends to remain connected.
Anita was six months old and able to sit up in a high chair with everyone else. She wore a yellow sundress with white cotton shorts underneath that were revealed each time she kicked her little legs.
The baby giggled when Ethan held out his hand and her feet met his fingers. Her movements became more aggressive but she couldn't possibly hurt another person because of how small she was.
