Knowing that she heard him being sick the night before, Luca was going to use that evening to be his redemption. Since he was no longer on edge, was satisfied with the way his work panned out, and the drugs were no longer in his system, he could spend time with Sophia the way that he wanted to.
As they entered the kitchen, hand in hand, Luca turned to Sophia and lifted her, placing her on the countertop next to the tablet he placed orders on.
He remained close to her, wrapping his arms around her waist and feeling happy when he felt her arms go around his neck. With half a step forward, he was between her knees and able to press his nose into her hair as he kissed her temple.
"First we should eat," Luca said. "What does my omega want for dinner tonight?"
"You pi–"
Except the words didn't completely leave her mouth.
"I'll give you the tablet and you can find something," he interrupted her with a smile. "I chose last night."
