Stella kept walking until she found old, worn stairs leading up to a large property.
Gus followed her up and they were on an orange, terracotta tiled walkway that led up to the front door of the first building.
When everyone was on the same level, they looked up to see a large, light brown stucco house with shuttered windows and beautiful natural gardens tucked into every corner that wasn't tiled. There was a small water fountain along the side of the house where you could clean up outside. It was inlaid with blue tiles.
Surrounding the southern and eastern walls of the house were covered patios with vines going up the beams and to the ceiling where they continued to cling to the wood. There was outdoor furniture situated in these spaces and Sophia knew it would be a comfortable place to hang out when the weather called for it.
The front door was a couple of steps up from the tiled walkway.
