Sophia woke up in a dark room with a gasp and she reached out her hand, expecting to feel Luca next to her but found the bed completely cold.
But she could smell him.
It was bizarre for her to be able to smell him when he was trying to be quiet at night. He was always so considerate that he held back his pheromones even when he went to bed after her so he wouldn't wake her up.
Sometimes she thought he treated her too fragilely but she gave him permission to and she didn't hate his consideration.
The omega sat up and looked around the room. Her head swiveled and, as she made it to the right, she saw the time on her phone, which sat up on a charger.
It was after 4 am.
Her green eyes blinked a few times and she wondered why she could smell her alpha when he hadn't even gone to bed yet. Maybe she didn't realize she was having a dream.
