The mornings felt crisp so Sophia knew that her schedule was about to get busier by tenfold.
Last year, she had so many custom orders for holiday parties that she didn't take a day off for all of December. Even on the Monday and Tuesday the bakery was supposed to be closed, she spent the days fulfilling custom orders. Her calendar was tight because it was only her and Rosa, but they managed to complete December and be able to take one week off for the New Year.
It was terrifying to know she was only at the beginning of the craziness but the money on the other side made it worth it. She could even afford to give Rosa a bonus for all of her hard work despite studying hard in university.
However, her musing of the holidays brought up another point entirely. She wanted to get Luca something special. Her biggest concern was what could she get for a man who had everything within his grasp?
