Chapter 100 - Missing

Before Sophia had left the bakery that day, she texted Ethan saying she would be home quickly so they could hang out together.

Even when someone drove her, the drive was never more than twenty minutes so when an hour passed by, Ethan couldn't contain his worry. Sophia was punctual and would have told him if something happened to her to delay her arrival. 

By the second hour, Ethan decided to walk to the bakery himself, only to see that the lights were off and locked as if no one had been there for a while. Normally he was with clients with Sophia got off of work so that evening was rare. He started to regret not having walked her home sooner.

He paced in front of the bakery's entrance for a few moments, biting his thumbnail out of stress for his friend.
