Melissa's pov.
Today marks the second year of my relationship with Brent Boston.
I should do something nice to thank him for loving me.
To show him how much I appreciate his existence.
I already took him to his favorite concert last year.
So I needed to do something different this year but what?
Before you judge me on working last minute,
Understand that i didn't have time for it.
But I managed to convince my Boss Mr. Hendricks to give me a day off for our anniversary.
Brent believes that I'll only come home after 6pm.
Today is different, I started at the gym for a light cardio.
Shawored than I went to a near spa to get a full body wax.
It's unbearable but my Brent loved me clean shaved.
After the wax I got French tips manicure and pedicure for the first time.
Thereafter they styled my hair adding extensions.
I was told that I have to come back If I want to take the extensions out.
They are solid and can't be pulled out just like natural hair.
Natural looking make up was the icing on the cake.
When I looked at the mirror I was awestruk.
Why haven't I done this before? The person who looked back a me was stunning.
I dialed Brent's number but the phone just kept ringing.

I looked at the time it was three.
I went into the mall to buy a sexy lingerie,
And sexy dress.
Tonight is a special night after all and anything can happen,
Especially in this sexy dress and heels.
I'm going to surprise Brent at his work place.
The dress looked sexy enough to turn heads but respectful enough for a office.
I quickly made dinner reservations on an app on my phone and got lucky to get a table.
And the girlfriend of the year award goes to?
Who? Little old me? Oh you shouldn't have.
But I would gladly accept this award.
I fought back a laugh at my own inside joke in my head.
The glass double doors parted when I entered.
The girl at the front desk is Mimi, she smiled warmly at me when I approached her.
I usually brought lunch for Brent once a month so we are besties at this point.
"Mell look at you girl! Did you come here to distract us with your beauty?"
Teased Mimi playfully before making to call Brent.
"Uhm Mimi....it's supposed to be a surprise."
I rashed out and watched her end the call on her phone,
Before he could answer.
"May I ask why should I risk losing my job?
You'll have to explain and convince me why should i not do what I'm paid to do which is inform the employees of they partners arrival.
So they go straight through without cueing."
Asked Mimi with one eye brow up almost touching the sky,
While the other one was down.
"It is our anniversary so I want to uhm spice things up."
I winked to which Mimi threw her head back laughing.
"Mell you bad bad girl! You got some serious Rizz for an office nerd."
She said in a mocking playful tone.
"It's why I'm off the dating market girlfriend!
You should take notes as a singleton lady."
I sassed her to which she playfully glared before Laughing.
"So the baby Fox has teeth after all huh?
Here is your card that will give you temporary access to his office.
It expires after 3 hours but I'm sure you'll be too caught up,
So set a timer on your phone."
Said Mimi smirking at me before winking.
Uhh wait.... I think she misunderstood me,
I'm not going to go get freaky at his office.
Some how I felt nervous because I wouldn't refuse if he wanted to do it in his office.
My face burned up and I quickly cleared the dirty thought from my mind.
I walked down the hall way and caught looks of....pity?
Dressed like this? I don't think so.
They must be directed to the wall behind me.
Finally at his door I took out the card from my purse and tapped the door.
It opened showing me a Twister that ripped my life uprooting everything I thought knew.
I dropped my bag, my car keys and my phone along with the anniversary gift in a small box.
It was like someone took an axe to my heart.
Brent had his back against me holding a brunette girl up against the window.
Her legs were wrapped around his waist and her arm was around his neck.
My presence didn't trigger they conscious, no....it added to their excitement.
"You like what you see? You want to join us?"
Said Brent still pumping into a moaning brunette, who smiled mockingly at me.
What did he just ask me?
Is he really cheating on me?
I slapped myself to try and wake up from this nightmare.
"Let's move it to your desk Brent, I want you to enter me from behind. "
She purred seductively like I wasn't stand right here.
When I finally found my voice I asked an important question.
"Brent did you ever love me?"
I asked hoping that he will come to his senses and stop what his doing.
Since his never done this before I can forgive it,
But he shouldn't ever let it happen again.
"What? Love you?
Melissa there is no us.
We just friend with benefits quit embarrassing yourself.
You either undressing and join or get the fuck out.
Geez! Get out! She's crying can you believe it?"
Said Brent sounding soulless.
Not only did he deny asking me to be his girlfriend.
His cheating on me unapologetically and just disrespected me.
I wish I had the strength to breakup with him and leave with my dignity.
But I felt like the ground had swallowed me.
"Please stop this Brent, whatevers going on we can work it out.
You are hurting me please just stop it!"
I cried and found the strength to walk to them and I pulled the brunette by her hair.
Once I succeed in getting her off, I didn't expect Brent to push me with such force.
I fell down hit my head on something painful on the floor.
My head hurt real bad and they didn't seem to care and carried on with their deed.
Pretending that I was a desperate fan girl and not Brent actual girlfriend of two years.
My head hurt like hell as I got up off the floor.
"Close the door on your way out Melissa.
I'll see you at home."
Brent said like he expects me to forgive such humiliation.
Screw this I'm going back to work. I forgot 3 files that are due tomorrow.
I cried hard in the elevator not believing what happened.
In my head I played a scenario where Brent stopped the elevator.
Him asking me for forgiveness on his knees and saying he loves me and it was all a mistake.
In reality he didn't love me and had used me and thrown me aside like a used condom.
I ran out the elevator and Mimi got out of her desk and stopped me.
"Hey...Mell what happened girl? Talk to me."
Said Mimi and after noticing that no one was around, I told her.
"His cheating on me Mimi! With a brunette wearing a yellow blouse and white mini pencil skirt!"
I cried and Mimi hugged me saddened by this reality.
"There is a special place in hell for people like Bridget.
She is the office slut who enjoys sleeping with all these married men here.
Brent is no different apparently."
Said Mimi in anger and I couldn't believe she knew.
"M-Mimi his done this before?!!" I asked shocked at this turn of events.
No please Tell me that this is the only time.
I need to hear that he hasn't cheated before for my sanity.
"I'm so sorry Mell you seemed so happy and I didn't want to rain on your parade."
Said Mimi apologetically before rubbing my back.
"What am I supposed to do now? Brent will come to his senses right?
I just have to wait right?"
I asked desperately, knowing that I don't have a future without him.
"I'm really sorry Mell, I'm currently on lunch let me drive you home.
"Can we stop by the office I need to collect folders."
I asked in a small voice that trembled as more tears rolled down my face.
My chest was painful and heavy and my will to live was gone.
"Okay, I'll drive you there." She said hesitatedly.
We arrived to the office in an hour.
I didn't expect my boss Hendrick to be at my station.
He flashed me a handsome smile which fell when he saw my face.
"Miss Florida are you okay?"
Hendrick asked with so much concern and politeness that fresh tears fell.
I opened my mouth to answered him but nothing came out, my vision darken.
"Melissa?!!!" Scream my someone before everything went black.
