It was late the next day when Huria and Meena were let in to meet Skyla and her baby girl.
Huria tearfully but carefully hugged her friend, they cried together for a while, letting the burdens of their hearts be lessened by each other's comforting presence.
"You gave me such a scare, girl. I can't even tell you how happy I am." Huria wiped her tears and distanced herself a bit so as not to overwhelm Skyla.
"You can't get rid of me that easily," Skyla answered with a small smile.
"I won't even dream of it. I will check up on my niece now." Huria finally let Skyla go so Meena could meet her and went to the nurse who had been tending to the baby.
Meena held Skyla's hand, she didn't hug her for now, trying to be extra careful because of her condition.
