Huria accepted the handshake but she could sense the animosity in the woman's grip and the resentment in her gaze. Jenny was by no means pleased.
"It's very nice to meet you, Jenny. I am Huria, head of the design department at your son's company."
Regardless, Huria introduced herself politely. She would give her best to make this work, even if she had to charm this cunning fox who was about to become her mother-in-law.
"So how did all this start?" She asked, her tone light and yet there was this edge to it which Huria could sense.
Rais fisted his hand, his nails digging into his palm. He knew his mother was only acting sweet, inside she was brimming with plots of how to put Huria down.
Thankfully their food arrived and the conversation was interrupted. The server served it and Huria dug into her steak. Usually, she preferred to be casual when eating but today she knew two very sharp pairs of eyes were gawking at her every action.
