Huria checked her costume for the third time in the mirror, ensuring she looked proper and decent. The black shift dress was both formal and had a proper neckline. A layer of pearls decorated her long neck.
Rais didn't care what she wore but she wanted to make a good impression on his mother.
The sound of the car's horn announced Rais's arrival. Grabbing her purse, Huria rushed outside.
Rais was standing there in white slacks and a sky-blue dress shirt, with his car's door open.
His brows arched seeing Huria's dress and pearls around her neck. She never dressed like that and wasn't a fan of pearls either. It was clear she was trying to make an effort to have his mother like her.
"Hey!" She happily chirruped like her usual self.
"Hey! My brightness." He grabbed her waist and placed a small kiss on her cheek, not wanting to smear her lipstick.
