In her embarrassment, Skyla missed the teasing tone.
"No, no, no." She covered her face with her hands, blushing down to her very roots. His cackle rang all around her.
"I will wait outside," she declared before quickly escaping his nearness which was proving dangerous to her fragile heart with every passing day.
She grabbed her bag and literally ran outside, shutting the door behind her. Clutching it Skyla leaned against the wall and took deep breaths.
'Phew! How can he say something like that so brazenly?' She mumbled to herself when a small sound erupted from inside her.
'It's not like you haven't seen it already.' The thought had her daydreaming about his body and then she remembered the scars littered on it.
Her mind wandered, what heinous fantasies people must have put him through. She hoped one day he would open up to her and tell her about them.
