Chapter 33: The Phantom World (3)
Benjamin crushed the orc's skull after getting as much information from him as possible.
"Finally some dirty work, huh," he looked down on the corpse, his eyes and heart remaining stoic.
He had killed before, but those were all NPCs and monsters of the virtual reality world. Of course, some blood had been spilled during his fight against Zero, but the corpse was not left behind.
It truly felt now that he had murdered someone like a human, yet Benjamin's heart didn't find any problem with that.
Had he not killed that man, the orc would have killed him.
Such a simple logic washed off all doubts and concerns most humans would have developed upon committing such an inhumane act.
Benjamin turned around and found out that the human slave had also died from blood loss. The man's head rolled to the side, hovering its empty eyes on Benjamin, which seemed as though he had been cursing him before perishing.
