As they walked towards the gate, they could easily see the situation at the gates. Noah saw two guards wearing uniforms stationed at the entrance.
They seemed to be collecting some kind of entrance fee from the people arriving to visit or stay for the first time.
Upon a closer inspection Noah realized that they were using 100 gold coins as an entrance fee.
100 gold coins may not be a big sum for Cultivators but it was a huge amount of money. People can live off 100 gold taels for a couple of years.
It was even more true for the mortals who could even live on way longer.
