The pot bellied man stood tense, beads of sweat dripping down his face. It was clear the Pope's presence was overwhelming him.
"Um, can I go?" the pot bellied man asked in a voice edged with a desperate hope for escape.
The Pope, now wearing a bemused smile, patted his shoulder reassuringly. "You can."
Without a second glance, the pot-bellied man took off faster than a breeze. The speed of his departure could have rivaled the quickest gust of wind, as he didn't dare look back, not even once. All that was left behind was a person grappling with the bizarre reality that he had transmigrated once again.
However, it all made sense. No wonder his hearing had become so sharp. No wonder he could even feel the emotions of the people around him. He could sense fear, hesitance, joy, despair, hope, and anticipation. It was all because he had become the Pope of the Shining Cathedral of Radiance.
