Chapter 20 - I'VE BEEN THROUGH HELL

I walked downstairs and my eyes landed on Seb. "Sebastian Glen," I called mockingly as he held the remote control switching from one channel to another.

"Let's watch global news, I want to see how my burial goes," I said and he smirked pressing back and I froze in place. I could see my stupid self above The Lee Cooperation building.

I jumped on a calculated move and the image of a man, a strange man who they considered my alliance came out of nowhere, and boom, I landed on his strong arms.

Both of us were tagged armed and dangerous.

"Some people are just cowards," Seb said and I mused hiding my innermost desire to castrate him for the second time. I was the coward he was referring to dammit.

"And come to think of this, I wonder how you would look if the same attires are on you. You have the same body physique I swear." He said taking out his newly acquired smartphone which he zoomed the picture.

I sighed in relief because it was blurry and nothing would be detected. "It's not like you can be this daring, you're too poor to have such an ally." He said pointing at the man who rescued me and I snatched his phone my eyes detecting something.

On his shirt was a device that only I could detect and know its meaning. My father had retained the copy of my device. It was the least amongst us because I was yet to complete my training. I heard that the tracking device was only for my country.

It dawned on me that whoever that guy was, he was not a security agent in X City nor did he save me as a coincidence. He recognized me or maybe that device had already been shipped into other countries.

"What are you staring at?" Seb asked and I returned his phone to him claiming I just liked the guy's physical appearance. I walked to the kitchen to make us some dinner. Its interior was vast and equipped with everything one would need to come up with a proper meal.

"That's not how to it ma'am." I heard a polite request and I turned my eyes landing on a woman dressed up in an apron that covered a decent part of her body.

"I'll make you guys something to it, I was finishing up some stuff upstairs." She said taking some vegetables to cut.

"Let me help you with that Miss," I said and she handed me a sharp knife and a chopping board. She smiled poured some cooking salad on a huge frying pan and pulled out some chicken meat from the fridge.

Slowly, I began to chop the veggies into very small pieces as I watched everything she did. For a brief moment, my mind shifted back to my father. His dagger pierced deep into my skin and as if that was not enough to finish me off, he did it yet again ensuring no chance of survival.

Rage boiled in within my dead self and I snapped out of it when someone screamed.

"Oh! My you're bleeding." The lady said tensed and I smirked looking at my index finger which a knife had accidentally pierced through. Blood oozed from the deeply cut spot dropping down on the floor.

"What's happening here? I heard someone scream but that was not you." I heard Seb's voice and I quickly hid my hand behind me.

"It's not to worry about," I said nervously looking at the direction the lady had gone to. She had gone to bring the first aid kit and that just saved my ass. At least no one would tell Sebastian what had happened.

'I need to handle this before it gets worse.' I thought to myself trying to give Seb the brightest smile ever but he didn't turn to leave.

'Damn.' I cursed inwardly as Seb's eyes landed on the bloody floor and he quickly took my hand in his.

"This is too deep Domain." He said placing my index finger in his mouth and I bit my lower lips nervously. I wonder what would happen to me if Alexander comes to find out how his son had stooped so low to the extent of sucking the blood of a low life.

"Sebastian, you're a_" I ran out of words to say and he smirked.

"Not in X City." He said taking the first aid kit from the lady. I watched as he washed, disinfected, and finally bandaged my wound. "No more chopping, who knows, you might end up chopping off your precious head next." He teased walking outside and the nervous lady turned to me.

"My name's Anya, the newly appointed servant by Miss Bestow. Please don't report this to her." She pleaded with me and I smiled reassuringly.

"What happened is not your fault," I said wondering why she was so tense and worried about me. I've been through real hell and a mere cut was nothing.

Imagine lying straight on a road forming a human chain and vehicles passing right above you from morning to evening. The rule was not to close or blink your eye neither are you supposed to move because of any slight mistake and you're swept from the face of planet Earth.

"No need to worry about Bestow, piggy promises she won't find out," I said walking back to Sebastian. I had to know who the so-called Bestow was.

"She's my wife," Sebastian answered his eyes glued on TV after I asked for three times. His wife? When did that happen?

"How and when did that happen?" I asked and he grinned.

"It's none of your business." He said I looked away. He was right after all, it was none of my business and so I should learn to mind my own business. F*k, wait, Sebastian was my business. His life was my f*king business and so I'll have to dig deep into the woman's identity.
