I aimed at the space infront of the brown haired man and shot the beam there, thus stopping him right before he could reach Daemon.
This resulted in the blonde protagonist escaping from the lackey's grasp and saving his life.
"Fucking hell, I can't catch a break can I" the man sighed and stopped running towards him, but instead...
He was looking in my direction.
"Shit..." I cursed, "he knows where I am."
I had forgotten that the relic's beams were visible, and now I was screwed.
"Show yourself!" he shouted, "I know you're there!"
I got out of the shadows and revealed myself to him.

The axe materialized in my right hand while I was holding the relic in my left, I know my anger meter wasn't at 100 but I believe this is a pretty deadly combination.
I would have to fight this guy to the death instead of Daemon now, even though the protagonist himself had failed.
