Our little argument kept going for a while but she probably noticed my stubbornness as she suddenly sighed and sat back on her chair.
"Can I go now?" I asked, not caring a single bit about her.
"You will regret this choice" the aura around her suddenly changed and became aggressive, "as an enemy of the council, you will be hunted by every single one of us."
I knew that it was coming for me soon enough, but honestly I don't have a single second to scratch my head at this point, the following arcs are coming and I need to prepare myself for any unexpected things to happen.
"Well then, you can leave" she gestured with her hand, fucking finally, I was thankful that she wasn't as barbaric as the others, "but before that..."
"This is it" I thought, she is doing the thing.
The aura around her multiplied until it completely filled the room and became overwhelming.
This was one of her skills: [Dominatrix], it uses her aura to scare the opponent, thus making him more susceptible to agree to unreasonable offers, she wasn't called the "Market Genius" for no reason...
It even almost worked on the main character but he broke out of it at the last second to stand his ground.
But it doesn't matter, it wouldn't have a single chance to succeed on me.
Why?
Well because fear is considered to be a status.
Which means...
[Skill: Status Resistance, activated.]
"Are you sure you don't want to change your mind?" she asked again while getting up and slamming her hands on the table, trying her hardest to be convincing.
"Nope" I shrugged.
"I see..." she looked confused but didn't say anything as she didn't want me to know she used a skill.
Her aura disappeared and she sat back on her chair.
"You can go now"
"Thanks Edna"
I turned around and exited the room while fully knowing that what had just happened would come to bite me in the future.

"Kaine!"
As soon as I left the council's office, I was greeted by a familiar elf and a human girl.
"Mina, Sarah, what are you doing here?" I asked them.
"We were worried about you, so we came here" Mina explained, "Sarah was passing by and saw what happened to you so she followed me"
"Yeah, I'm fine" I reassured her, "let's go back to the dorm."
But I completely forgot that Zack's attack had destroyed the door, which meant anybody could see the inside of the room from the outside.
Some people actually already gathered around the dorm to see what happened.
"Do we have to switch dorms now?" I asked Mina.
"We can't, we have to take care of our dorm as if it was our own house, the teacher at the beggining of the year said no switch even if it gets completely destroyed" she answered.
"Oh great, now we need to go buy another door don't we?"
"You two can sleep in my dorm if you want in the meantime, I wasn't paired with anybody" Sarah suggested while smiling.
"I'll take you up on that offer then" I agreed
We followed her and she guided us to her dorm, when we went inside we noticed that it was very neatly organized and had enough space for the three of us to sleep comfortably.
I guess this is better then having everybody look at our sleeping bodies from the hallway...
"the vacation is at the end of the week, we're gonna be able to do whatever we want" Mina sat on the bed and stretched as she said those words, but I couldn't understand.
"Vacation?"
"Yeah! We have two weeks of vacation during which we are free from class and can go anywhere and do anything" Sarah explained happily.
I remember something like that happening in the novel, but I believe the author completely skipped it as it was useless stuff just meant to start the next arc with the main character having a new power as he trained during these two weeks...
And it also aligns with the fact the next important arc is in a month, which means... YESSS! I HAVE NOTHING TO DO!
I almost danced out of joy the moment I realized that, but I kept myself composed infront of the girls.
[Anger meter: 23/100]
The meter decreased but it doesn't matter, I now have an entire month to myself with nothing to do!

(Neutral POV)
But unbeknownst to him, Kaine hadn't realized what was happening in the shadows.
Edna was currently looking at the exit door of the council room right after Kaine left.
She was surprised by his stubbornness as it matched hers and also by the fact her [Dominatrix] skill didn't work on him, he didn't even budge...
"This guy..." she mumbled under her breath.
She got up from her chair and walked towards the window to look at the city, she had a magnificent view of everything from here, a place worthy of the president.
"He is interesting, I like it" she thought while smiling.
"Branon" she spoke suddenly after a while.
"Yes ma'am?" the vice-president had been in the room the entire time, but using one of his stealth skills to hide his presence.
"Did you get what I asked for?" she looked at him while raising her eyebrows.
"Of course ma'am" he adjusted his glasses and placed a file infront of the red hair, "information about Kaine and the pictures you asked for."
"Good job" she smiled and opened the folder.
Inside were a bunch of papers containing information about the black haired boy, such as his name, age, race, family, etc.
But the most important thing was the pictures her lackey took of Mina and Kaine in their mundane life, such as holding hands, hugging, or just walking together.
She knew that Kaine was too stubborn to accept her offer even if they were to beat him up, so she wanted to affect the people close to him to make him despair.
"Hehe..." she giggled while looking at the photos, "you're gonna regret not joining the council"
And with these words, she closed the folder and gave it back to the silver-hair.
"What should we do now ma'am?" Branon asked while taking the file in hand.
"Contact the Silvermoon household and show them these pictures of their daughter hanging out with a human" she smiled mischeviously, " I heard from a connection that they want to keep their bloodline pure, so if they see her around a dull human like him, they are bound to take actions."
"Understood" he nodded and left the room instantly.
"Now let's wait for the results" she said while sitting on her chair and crossing her legs.
She was still thinking about how Kaine resisted her skill, and was curious about his strenght, but she knew that none of it mattered as she was in total control.
"I wonder what kind of face he will make when he sees his precious friend being taken away from him..."
It seems like in opposition to what Kaine expected, his two weeks vacation wouldn't be as calm as he thought it would be.
