"If things were different, I would have killed you and sent your body for your parents to see, regardless of if I got that necklace or not," Dylan uttered, staring at James who was still being chained to the wall.
Dylan continued,
"But now, the situation has changed quite a bit. He has returned, which only makes things harder for me." Dylan sighed, "Despite how strong I am, even I know better than to approach the king of vampires".
As Dylan spoke, James was forced to listen, his mind a complete mess as the only thing going through his head was how he was going to escape.
All he seemed to remember was leaving the house and then suddenly getting ambushed by some men.
And when he came to, they were requesting from him the necklace he had. He refused to talk, so they searched his body and when they saw it wasn't on him, they began torturing him.
Even taking it as far as to kill his parents and show him the pictures of it, and yet, leaving his sister alive as a bargaining chip.
'These people… are monsters.' James thought to himself, blood still dripping from multiple parts of his face.
If he had known they were going to kill his parents like that, he would have said something.
But seeing as they already did it, James had no intention of telling them where the necklace was, even if they killed him.
"Do you understand what I am getting at? I need those artifacts to revive my master, only he can defeat the vampire king. If you help me, I'll let you live and see a world free of supernaturals." Dylan spoke once more.
"I… refuse." James replied.
Dylan sighed, "How dumb can you be?... You'd rather cling to this necklace than save your own life?".
"I already made… a promise to her…" James raised his head to look Dylan in the eye, "Go fuck yourself".
"Okay…"
Dylan suddenly punched James on the face, an attack so strong James eyes rolled over as he collapsed to the ground, but his hand was still prisoneed to the chain.
"I gave you a choice, and you chose to still defy me. I hate such audacities, it makes me wish I had killed you earlier." Dylan looked down at James, his body sparking with blue lightning.
"I'll ask you one more time, and if you refuse to tell me where the artifact is, I'll start by ripping off your ears, and then your legs, I'll break every bone until you are nothing but a breathing sex doll, and then, maybe then, I'll…"
While Dylan was busy with these threats, he suddenly sensed someone standing outside the door to the room.
His eyes widened in what seemed to be fear as he immediately veered around, his body aimed to attack.
"Eh? Dad?" Erica uttered, she could already see the panicked look on her face.
"Intresting, my demon is in fear… someone is behind that door… be careful." Dylan warned, not keeping his eyes from the door.
The door knob turned, slowly creaking open as both father and daughter anticipated who this mysterious individual could be.
With one step after the other; Leon showed himself, standing at the entrance of the room with the capacitated heads of two devils in his hands.
His red eyes glowed as he stared back at Dylan and Erica, both frozen in shock from seeing him just walz in.
"Sorry for the intrusion, I guess I should have knocked first." Leon uttered, his eyes then shifting to James who gucked back at him with the same shocked expression.
"The … King of vampires…." Dylan muttered, a slow smile forming on his face, "In the flesh… this is amazing".
"Yeah yeah, and all that, I came to talk…" Leon threw the heads of the devils away and went sitting on the chair closet to him.
With a slight grunt, her crossed his legs and smiled at Dylan, "Go on, don't be shy, let's bond".
'He just walked in here, just like that? Did he perhaps have a connection with the guy? I doubt it, or does he know I was the one that killed his parents?' Dylan whispered to himself as he walked towards his chair.
'If that's the case, it would mean he might also want to know how I was able to know where he lives and how he awakened… As much as I hate those monkies, i cant go back on my contract. So for now… I'll just play along and see where this goes'.
Dylan settled on the chair too, just a little to the left from where Leon was.
"What do you want to talk about?" He asked Leon.
Leon smiled, "You can actually think rationally? And here I thought you'd attack me the moment I walked through that door".
"You killed two of my men before I could even sense you, I do believe you've earned yourself that much." Dylan replied.
Erica who was standing beside him was already on the verge of breaking. Just from looking at Leon Crimson, she could already tell what kind of power he possess, and it scared her.
"Oh right, sorry about that, I did try my best for be nice, they just wouldn't listen, but it's all cool, right?" Leon smiled.
"Of course." Dylan replied.
"Thats the spirit." Leon uttered, "Now tell me… why exactly are you looking for this?" He swooped out the necklace from this pockets and dangled it in front of him.
Dylan's eyes widened when he realized that was no ordinary necklace, that was the artifact he was looking for.
"Oh, so it was with you all along?" Dylan asked.
"Not exactly, I simply knew a guy who knew a guy."
"Then would you mind hand it over to me, I'll compensate you of course." Dylan said with his hand stretched forward.
Suddenly -
The fear in the room increased.
"Where are the rest?" Leon asked, staring down at Dylan with his red intimidating eyes.
Dylan flinched a bit, but immediately regained his composure, "I don't know what you mean".
Leon stood up from where he sat,
"You know who I am,.. do you not?" Leon placed his hand over his mouth as he looked at Dylan with pity, "Surely you're not that stupid".
