The general twisted his hand again.
*Whoosh*
Bluish flames emerged, flying towards the naga, instantly covering their charred bodies. They screamed loudly in pain, writhing on the ground in various snake-like positions that looked grotesque from an outsider's perspective. The flames grew hotter, and a moment later, charred corpses lay on the ground, emitting a foul odor of burnt flesh.
The general covered his nose, coughing and spitting blood into his hand.
He turned around, but as he took a step, one of them suddenly spoke.
"Heh. You thought we were an easy target. Too bad we're not like the other ants."
He turned around and saw the naga still lying in their charred bodies, initially thinking he had imagined the voices.
He looked around, furrowing his eyebrows.
"Do you have a soul essence?"
All the naga burst into loud, screeching laughter, and then it happened.
*Crack. Crack. Crack*
In front of him, the charred bodies began to crack, and black dust fell off.
*Poof *
Green, shiny snake skins emerged, appearing as if they were coated in oil. Their faces were now serpent-like with long red tongues, and their eyes were screaming yellow. Above their heads floated a black ring resembling a halo. They stood up, breaking into an evil laugh, creating spears from their own bodies that slowly emerged from their hands.
The general furrowed his eyebrows at the sight.
"Are you some kind of angels?"
They gave him a sharp look.
"Angels? We are soldiers of the Netherworld, here to bring you judgment."
The naga clashed their weapons, and small red orbs appeared, floating into the weapons. The general raised his eyebrows, and when he realized what they were doing, he spread his legs and arms.
"Point Zero!" he shouted.
*Vroom*
The sphere shook violently and vibrated as it began to shrink at the speed of light. Before the nagas could react, it had already shrunk just enough to touch the parts of their bodies that protruded — their tails, heads, and arms. The nagas stopped charging and all looked at the general with evil glares, pointing the now finished weapon at him.
The weapon vibrated, and a purple beam shot out, but at that very moment, the general pushed his hands forward in the air, and the sphere shrank completely, disappearing into the nagas' bodies, leaving them surprised. The sphere was gone, and they touched their bodies but couldn't feel anything strange. What they didn't notice was that the purple beam from their weapon had also disappeared.
"Heh. It seems you've run out of energy." commented a naga with a mocking undertone.
The general fell to his knees, violently coughing up blood now, and blood slowly ran out of his nostrils. The flames in his eyes began to crackle and slowly disappeared, but his eyes remained two-colored. When the nagas saw this, they attempted to charge their weapons again, and when it was done, they pointed it at him.
"Die."
Nothing happened, causing them to furrow their eyebrows as they looked at each other with puzzled faces.
"W..." But before a naga could start its sentence, the air around them suddenly became very thin.
It happened so quickly that they didn't have time to comprehend what was going on. They suddenly had difficulty breathing and clutched their throats, coughing and scratching frantically at their entire faces with their long black nails, leaving deep wounds. They fell to the ground, released their weapons, and writhed while trying to make sounds with a very hoarse voice. An instant later, they lay lifeless, and the area fell silent.
The general stood up, coughed lightly, and suddenly spat out a red solid ball, squeezing it.
*Splat*
The ball now resembled a mashed berry.
"Ugh, that cranberry pill was really gross. Maybe I should consider becoming an actor."
He wiped his mouth and walked over to the nagas, who lay motionless. His irises suddenly changed to light blue, and he created a white sword with his right hand, poking one of the naga with it. He wanted to be sure they were dead this time.
"My skill isn't called Zero Point for nothing, idiots," he mumbled.
With his sword, he poked the naginata, but nothing happened. He took out a large white cloth and wrapped the weapons carefully so they wouldn't clang against each other. He created a thick white rope that he tied around the weapons and placed them on his back. He bent down and took out a black orb, placing it over the naga, which immediately got sucked into it. He turned around, but as he was about to leave, a group of three people appeared. It was Emil's group.
They approached him with quicker steps, staring at the weapons on his back.
"General, are those weapons?"
"Naga? What are they doing here?"
"We encountered beasts with crocodile heads and human bodies," the general said, looking at the group.
"How's the situation?" he asked.
"The others haven't had any problems, and we've already combed through the entire Greater Copenhagen area."
"Let's clean up so we can celebrate the end of the day."
They nodded and hurriedly left the scene, leaving a silence as if nothing had happened.
Suddenly, a figure stepped out from behind a building. When the moonlight hit his body, he became visible. He wore a black cloak, had red skin with thick horns on his forehead, and yellow eyes. On his back, there was a massive sword resembling a snowboard, with the handle wrapped in black fabric.
He furrowed his eyebrows.
"Is he one of those so-called gods? I better report to Lord Melech."
The figure hurried away, and the building site was now completely silent.
