Chapter 29 - Owner of the Dagger

Slam!

The door was forcefully pushed until it came off its hinges. A group of men walked in, causing chaos and making everyone scream and run away. The previously safe club suddenly turned chaotic after the sudden attack by the Bloodhound Cartel.

Kate, witnessing the events, could only remain silent, observing everything from behind the bar counter where she was. She tried to contain her anger, resisting the urge to intervene immediately and handle them with her abilities.

"You! Where's your boss!" Julian pointed at Kate as he approached. He stared at her with a sharp gaze.

Kate glanced at him briefly, maintaining her calm demeanor. She had no intention of answering his question.

"YOU IGNORED MY BOSS!" Dante spoke angrily. He intended to attack Kate, but Julian stopped him first.

"Let me ask again, and this time you better answer my question, or I'll destroy this place." Julian approached a chair and sat down. He stared at Kate from such a close distance. His face turned red, clearly showing that he was trying to contain his anger. "Where is your boss?"

"He's gone, and if you have something to say to him, just say it. I'll convey it once he returns," Kate replied.

"You're lying! I know that old man must be hiding here, right? Tell him to come out, or I'll destroy this place!" Julian slammed the bar counter so violently that it made Kate lose her patience. She immediately stopped him by gripping his wrist.

"I told you he's not here right now! So, state your business, and then please pay for the damages you've caused and the door you've ruined!"

"Do you dare to command me?"

"I'm just asking for your cooperation. Many people here are disturbed by your presence."

"What if I don't want to? What do you want?"

"Don't make me lose my patience, or you'll regret it."

"Are you trying to threaten me? It won't work. Just get him out, or I'll destroy this place!" Julian shouted angrily. As Kate continued to defy his orders, Julian assigned all his henchmen to create chaos. Seeing that, Kate became even more disturbed. They had really caused a significant problem, causing the frightened patrons to scatter and run away. They didn't want to get involved in any trouble there.

Thud!

Kate slammed the table so hard that everything on it vibrated violently. "I've asked you to leave peacefully, and I've warned you from the beginning. But you didn't listen to me at all. It seems there's no other way. I have to forcefully remove you from here!"

Kate stared at them all with a sharp gaze. "What do you think you're—"

Crash!

Kate hit Julian's head with a nearby bottle. The glass bottle instantly shattered, and the liquid inside mixed with the blood flowing from the wound on his head. "Argghh!" Julian groaned in pain.

"I warned you," Kate said calmly. Members of the Bloodhound Cartel, witnessing their boss getting hit like that, immediately ran toward her to attack Kate. However, she remained calm in facing them all.

One of the Bloodhound Cartel members jumped onto the bar counter. Kate quickly pulled both his legs, causing the man to tumbling down butt-first. He groaned in pain as his rear end landed roughly, causing it feels so painful. "Sorry about that, but it wasn't intentional," Kate said, hitting a glass toward the man's face.

Her sudden attack left the man with no chance to evade, and the glass had accurately approached his head. Unsatisfied, Kate forcefully slammed the man's head, pushing it so hard that he fell off the table and ending up unconscious.

Another member approached and attacked Kate. He attempted to strike her, but Kate, who was aware of his movements, quickly pulled a tray nearby to shield herself. The man's punch ended up hitting the tray in Kate's hand.

"ARGGHH!" The man attacked with another punch, but Kate quickly used the tray as a shield. Unsatisfied as his attacks continued to fail, the man went on assaulting Kate with a series of punches. He attacked as quickly as possible, hoping Kate couldn't dodge anymore. Unfortunately for him, Kate was quicker than he anticipated. She skillfully used the tray to protect herself. Just as the man began to feel pain from each failed punch, he groaned, staring at his throbbing and red-rash-covered hands.

"Ding! Ding!" Kate lifted her tray as high as possible. Just as the man raised his head to look at Kate, she slammed the tray in her hand down. The tray punctured and got stuck in the man's neck, causing him to fall to the floor, overwhelmed by an intense dizziness.

All the members of the Bloodhound Cartel, who were about to attack her, suddenly fell silent. They were deeply shocked by what the woman had just done to their two comrades and their boss.

"That's enough fooling around. Now, are you going to pay for the damages and leave?" Kate rose from her position, leaping onto the bar counter in a single motion. Her hands were now busy removing the short skirt covering her pants. Kate tossed the skirt in a random direction, standing there in tight-fitting trousers. Around her slender waist, they could all see she had several weapons, as if she was always prepared for situations like this. "Or should I force you to leave? Oh, but wait. You must compensate for causing chaos and destroying the door."

Kate stepped down, planting herself on the chair nearby. Upon landing, she pulled out a black leather glove from one of her pockets, then slid the gloves onto both of her hands.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING? YOU WON'T ATTACK HER?!" Julian yelled angrily. Instead of resisting, his henchmen just stood there like fools.

"Oh, jeez, you've chosen the hard way," mumbled Kate. Some members of the Bloodhound Cartel approached, ready to strike. Realizing this, Kate immediately prepared herself to face them.

One of the men halted in front of her, attacking Kate with a combination of punches. His movements were swift, attacking from every angle, but Kate seemed effortlessly dodging each strike. The woman merely evaded without any intention of counterattack.

Grip!

Kate halted the man's punch that nearly hit her face. "Is this your only skill?" Kate stared at him intently before swiftly twisting his hand, causing the man to scream in pain. "Truly boring."

"ARGGHH!" The man collapsed to the floor, clutching his aching hand.

"Evade!" Kate shouted. Just as the man intended to look up, Kate's foot landed on his chin, sending him sprawling from the force of her kick. "Tsk! Pathetic. Your reflexes are truly terrible."

Thud!

The man ended up lying unconscious. One of the other men approached. He set up a stance with a hand that now held a knife in his hand. Kate, who saw this, just stood still and watched. Although he looked ready to attack, Kate could see that the man was trembling. "You're wrong! That's not the right way to hold a knife!"

Kate casually approached the man. The man who had intended to attack spontaneously moved backward, thinking Kate would strike immediately. However, his assumption was wrong as the woman stopped right in front of him. "I haven't done anything yet, and you're already retreating. What do you think I'll do to you? I just want to teach you how to hold a knife properly," Kate said with a hint of annoyance.

The woman moved quickly, grabbing one of the knives in the man's hand. Now one of the man's knives switched to her hand. "This is how you properly hold a knife."

The man stood there, his body trembling. He truly couldn't comprehend how Kate could effortlessly snatch the knife from his hand so quickly. It wasn't just him feeling puzzled; everyone witnessing the event appeared shocked at Kate's lightning-fast movements. She moved like a blink of an eye, and in that instant, the knife had already switched into her hand.

Kate demonstrates the correct knife grip, holding the handle with the blade facing backward. "If you hold it like that, you look more like someone about to slice a fruit. Do you think your enemies will be scared? They'll just laugh at you," Kate comments.

Suddenly, everyone around falls silent. Kate has truly captured everyone's attention. "Now, let me show you the proper way to use a knife."

Just as Kate intends to attack with the knife, one of the men moves toward her with a chair raised in his hands and aiming to strike her from behind. Fortunately, Kate can immediately discern his intention through the shadow cast behind her. As the man swings his chair, Kate swiftly dodges, causing the attack to miss. The chair meant for Kate instantly collides with the head of his comrade.

And the attack causes the man who previously held the knife to fall unconscious. "You missed!" Kate smirks.

"You..." The man clenched his fists, glaring at Kate with frustration. Meanwhile, Kate tossed the knife in her hand into the air before catching it with the other. Just as she successfully caught the knife, Kate sprinted towards the man, attacking with swift movements. The man instinctively tried to evade. He managed to dodge several of Kate's attacks, avoiding any scratches on his body. However, Kate's next move left the man completely unable to predict her actions.

Once again, Kate tossed the knife high into the air. The man's attention was solely on the knife she just threw, intending to grab it as it fell within his reach. However, he forgot that Kate had multiple weapons strapped to her waist. Just as he was caught off guard, Kate drew the dagger from her belt and swung it towards the man's abdomen.

Stab!

The object pierced directly into his abdomen, coinciding with the knife he managed to catch. His body froze for a moment, genuinely surprised by Kate's unexpected attack. Upon realizing, he swung the knife in his hand towards Kate. Unfortunately, she swiftly evaded while pulling her dagger. Shortly after, blood began to seep from the man's body, creating a floor covered in red stains. Kate's recent attack hit his internal organs, rendering him unable to move freely due to the severity of the injury.

"Who's next?" Kate smiled, scanning them. Her hand, who now gripping the dagger, pointed one by one at the remaining members of the Bloodhound Cartel. All the remaining members appeared frightened, even their faces grew pale. The same went for Dante and Julian—their boss, who now standing with blood-smeared heads. Kate seemed effortlessly facing them, the women even not hesitating to swing the dagger, as if she was entirely accustomed to situations like this.

The fight that night continued. Julian ordered all of his men to attack Kate simultaneously, but unfortunately, the outcome of the fight was not favorable for the Bloodhound Cartel members. All of their members died horribly. Some were killed by stabs to the head until Kate's dagger stuck in his skulls. The woman even had trouble pulling out her dagger because she stabbed it too deep. There were also punctures in his eyes, and punctures in his chest. The rest were in some of the most vulnerable parts of their internal organs.

From the fight that ensued, only Dante and Julian remained. Dante was badly injured. Kate stabbed the man in the ass, and the rest of him was injured by Kate's crushing blow. Even though he was badly injured, Kate had no intention of killing Dante. Meanwhile, Julian, the man, was injured in his hand. Kate had stabbed the man's palm until it was stuck in the table with the dagger that pierced between his hands, penetrating under the table.

"Listen! Consider this my warning to all of you. First, never dare to cause chaos here again, and second, never even think about attacking Infero Ravens again. Because if you dare to do it again, there will be no more chances for your lives!" Kate released her dagger and instructed Dante to take Julian. The man who was his boss had no strength to walk properly, especially with one of his legs severely injured. Dante carried Julian, stumbling along the way.

Kate intentionally let the two of them go as a stern warning to their master, who had persistently attempted to disrupt Percival. Not only that, but Kate also did it as a signal to other mafia and gangsters who had been trying to undermine Percival's business. She knew that after that night, news of the Bloodhound Cartel members' murder would quickly spread among the mafia and gangster circles that had been attacking them.

Dante snapped out of his reverie. Staring at Kate's dagger in her hand reminded him of an event several years ago—the most gruesome and enduring experience of his life. In that incident, Dante witnessed all his comrades being killed right before his eyes.

"Even though it's been so long, I'll never forget the owner of this dagger." Dante gripped the dagger tightly. In a fleeting moment, he recalled the instance when the dagger pierced deep into his buttocks. Due to that incident, Dante had to undergo intensive treatment and couldn't sit comfortably for a long time.

"I will never forget! She left a mark on my beautiful ass." His face turned red, suppressing anger.

"Maybe you were strong back then, but now I've grown a lot, and I will avenge for what you did. This time, I will destroy you!"
