Theo and Alessio broke down the door in front of him. Without hesitation, they stepped into the room. Once inside, they could see the dim light filling the room, illuminating a sofa in the center. On the sofa, a man sat casually. Theo and Alessio stopped their steps, their gazes locked. They were sure it was Javi. The same man had peeked out the window earlier while they were arguing with the guards in the front yard.
"I knew you'd be here," Theo said, staring intently at the man.
"Why did you pretend you weren't home? Did you do it on purpose because you didn't want to see us?" This time, it was Alessio who spoke.
