The beams of light sipped through the windows perking my palms indicating it was a new day. Opening my eyes slowly to adjust to the light,got out of the covers and recited a short prayer thanking the mighty for the oxygen that has enabled me to still breathe freely without paying a single penny. Grabbing a toothbrush and a towel ,went to shower to cleanse my body. Humming softly,I suddenly saw a small gekko clung on the bathroom wall staring at me intently as if it was a pervert. Ignoring it, completed my thing and dressed casually since it was a weekend. "Good morning mom", greeted my special person a smile blooming my face. Turning her face from the cooking stove, Annabelle's mom replied softly.
"Mom I plan to look for a job to lessen the burden at home", Annabelle told her mother holding her breath. Sabrina looked shocked cause she never once expected her daughter to be so mature at such age. She just hugged her cause her emotions were in turmoil. Tears streamed down her face with wrinkles indicating that she's aged with time.
" How long will this kind of life end?,how long will we ever live without worrying about to eat?,how long will this end?". Sabrina thought deeply about their lives and sobbed softly in her daughter's embrace. Annabelle also got influenced by her mom's emotions and cried together. After calming down their emotions they suddenly burst out laughing hard cause it was along time since they got emotional .
"Good morning mom and sis".Lolita greeted them breaking their reverie.Good morning babe, how was your night.They both asked. Acting like someone mature,she just nodded her head. After placing her phone on the dressing table,she decided to call her mom who went to Abudhabi as a contract worker. After talking with her mom, priccy felt relaxed and lay on her mid sized bed glancing at the ceiling.Her mind drifted on what her future will become after completing high school. Snapping out of the daze, Priccy jumped out of the bed leaving her room messy with clothes dropped on the floor. Feeling bored she decides to visit Annabelle her friend to make some discussions concerning the entrepreneurship paper that will be sat on Monday.
Walking down the streets,she bypassed the alley where she saw children of her age collecting empty bottles of water placing them in a huge sack. She was saddened by this cause most children are orphans who end up on streets collecting scrap. Some even become thieves not because they want but because of the situation.Feeling sympathy,she got two thousand shillings from her hand bag and gave it to the youngest one. The young one was over joyed that she kept thanking priccy.
She left and hurried to Annabelle's house.She found Annabelle listening to the Korean kpop music of black pink and BTS.
