Chapter 80 - Now Unkillable(chapter 80)

prevously in chapter 79

Then there was the sea cucumber. Sea cucumbers can expel their internal organs as a defense mechanism and regenerate them within a few weeks. An upgrade was, of course, needed. Then there was the newt. Newts can regenerate multiple body parts, including limbs, tail, eyes, heart, and spinal cord, without scarring. And lastly, there were the flatworms, which were similar to planarians. Other flatworms can regenerate an entire organism from a small fragment of their body, demonstrating remarkable regenerative capabilities. "With these, I should be able to create the perfect regenerative potion," he smirked.

Chapter 80

Back in his hideout, Henry, who was in a lab, could be seen surrounded by several large beakers, each containing an animal or an animal part. He was currently smirking as he held a very red liquid. "Now I am IMMORTAL," he declared, nearly bursting into an evil laughter, until he decided to stop being an idiot. He drank the potion, which caused his skin to crack like a stone hit with something heavy. However, unlike when he drank the Phoenix Warrior potion, this potion wasn't as painful, as his skin immediately regenerated without glowing red. That was because this potion was quite extraordinary.

That is right, Henry finally made an authentic tier 7 potion, and not just any potion, a tier 7 potion that gave Henry permanent regenerative power that allows him to regenerate from a single drop of blood. "Now, the weakness of my brain and heart is gone. I can finally be immortal," he smirked. He then picked up a gun and pointed it to his heart before firing it, without hesitation.

The gun and bullet were enhanced, specially designed by him, which allowed it to pierce his heart. Feeling the pain of his heart bleeding, Henry groaned for a second as he thought, "Still not as painful as that potion," but his heart immediately regenerated. He could feel it. "Well, that was something." Despite shooting his heart without hesitation, Henry's face was as calm as the ocean, before he realized something. "i am immortal Unless I can be disintegrated in an instant," he sighed, his paranoia taking over. "Hmm, my genetic information," he thought, realizing, "My genetic information can be hacked. I can be cloned," he sighed, so he got up to make several luck potions. That is when Kai gave him a prompt, which made Henry smile, "Looks like SHIELD 2.0 is happening." He was aware of what was happening.

Apparently, after SHIELD fell, it was divided into two parts, one led by Coulson, the other led by Gonzales, another SHIELD general, who seemed to have something against enhanced humans. But the thing was, Gonzales is in Coulson's playground, and the reason he was there was simple: Henry had given the information he had on Coulson's team, which led to Gonzales taking over Coulson's base. Of course, Coulson escaped, much to the effort of May, but all of that was something Henry expected. After all, they did send Skye to a hideout, but she was taken by Gordon. However, a monitor to his side showed a red dot deep within Nepal. "So this is where Afterlife is located. This place evaded my sight during my revelation. All I got were snippets before something stopped me." This was Henry's plan all along.

The reason why Henry wanted Skye's blood was so that he could inject a specially made tracker into her bloodstream, which he made sure could bypass SHIELD's checks. This was hard given that Jemma Simmons deals with anything biological-related, especially with Skye, who was changed very recently, putting the team on edge. But seeing his tracker functioning was all Henry needed. Now he could proceed with the second step of his plan. "Gosh, do I really have to go through essence extraction again?" he groaned, although his facial expression didn't say much.

-scene change-

Inside a completely different hideout, which was a laboratory, there were several rooms made of reinforced glass. Inside the rooms were people, 11 people to be exact. These eleven people were 5 women and 5 men, both adults, and the eleventh person was a young boy with black hair and pale green eyes. The lab lights flickered as these eleven people seemed to be on some drug, and that made sense because Henry had just entered. He looked around, specifically towards the numbers on their rooms, which ranged from zero to 10, zero being assigned to the young boy. "Hmm, the tier 5 and 6 mind wipe potions are only working temporarily," he sighed as he walked towards them, entering the room of one of the patients, a man. He was, of course, immediately restrained, but they were regular humans, for now, and they couldn't do anything to him. So he administered another potion, a tier 5, before letting the man down. The man immediately felt agonizing pain as he clutched his head while the other patients whimpered.

"Don't worry, it will all be over soon, and you will be reborn as my loyal soldiers, without free will of course," he said to them before exiting the room. That is right, what Henry was doing was mind-wiping these 11 people, making all of them loyal to him. He could brainwash them, but Whitehall and Bakshi's lessons taught him not to trust such practices, so he decided to just erase what made them have free will. Of course, he then had to compensate for their wiped consciousness since after the mind wipe, they would just be shells, a drooling mess, and he didn't want that. He wanted loyal soldiers, soldiers who didn't think about anything else but his orders. So until he could create homunculi himself, he would resort to using the next best thing, which was using what already existed.

Henry then exited before doing the same to all the remaining 9 patients. When he arrived at the young patient, he stopped and looked at the boy. The kid was afraid, but Henry's eyes didn't contain any mercy. No, they were devoid of it. "Don't disappoint me, Zero. I have great expectations of you," he said. The reason why he said that was simple. Henry wasn't stupid enough to waltz into Afterlife, a settlement for a group of Inhumans, all with powers. And he wasn't arrogant enough to think that he could take on all of them without paying a single price not to mention his limit information. So he decided to do what he thought was right, and that was to wipe the consciousness of a small child who he confirmed was an Inhuman and send him into the afterlife once he is completely undercontrol.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

A/N: Well, Henry has taken a step towards true immortality. Now, he won't die from a bullet to his head, although if something can disintegrate him, he will die. He can be cloned, but it will only be a shell version of him since his mind can't be touched. Anyway, he's also starting to assemble his own task force, and this won't be his last attempt at creating his own army.

PS: I am aware that he can be cloned, and he will solve this, just like he solved his mortality issue. Trust him—well, don't; he is Henry, after all.

PS: I am done with writing this fanfic for now because I have about 40+ chapters in stock. The middle part of it is complete. After I've had enough of a break from this fanfic, I will return to writing before I run out of chapters, and then I will get to the exciting part of the story, which heavily features the multiverse.
