Chapter 57 - Counting Gains and realisation(chapter 56)

prevously in chapter 56

"Don't worry, I hate spoilers, that word gives me the ich, anyways, I just want to see the look on their faces when you finally tell the truth," Henry chuckled as he walked past Garrett and Ward, not even paying them attention. He arrived at a hole created by the strange weapon Henry had taken from Garrett. "Hello, baby," Henry chuckled as he took the gravitonium before teleporting out of the facility with everything he could, yes he did so as Garrett and Ward watched, what could they do?, attack him.

Chapter 57

Back in Henry's hideout, Henry could be seen surrounded by several crates and boxes, a strange metallic cube which was the pieces of the Destroyer, as well as the new gravitonium. Despite that being the main reason he went to the Fridge to begin with, it wasn't the most profitable thing he had found. What he had in his hands was an essence, a blue essence inside a vial. "Another one of these damn Infinity Stones," he cursed while still smiling softly.

[ Name: Essence of Tesseract Energy ]

[ Grade: 6th ]

[ Description: The Essence of Tesseract Energy is a potent liquid extracted from a 1940s-era gun powered by energy derived from the Tesseract. The Tesseract, also known as the Cube, is a crystalline vessel containing the Space Stone, one of the six Infinity Stones with limitless energy that predates the universe. This essence captures the raw, unparalleled power of the Tesseract's energy, glowing with a bright, otherworldly blue light. ]

[ Effects: +500% spatial manipulation, +500% energy projection, +500% power enhancement, +500% teleportation capability, +500% energy absorption, +500% stability in high-energy applications ]

[ Deterioration-Rate: 0% ]

That's right, the thing that Garrett fired at him was an old gun developed by Hydra and was powered by the Tesseract Cube, the thing that opened a breach in the sky in New York that let the aliens in. In reality, the Tesseract Cube was just a casing for the Space Stone. Henry already had the essence of the Reality Stone. "Gosh, I have so many ideas on what to use this on," but one look at the cube that was made from the Destroyer armor sealed the deal on what the use of this essence was. "Maybe I can use a small portion of it to create a teleportation ring?" he muttered to himself, which he liked.

That is exactly what he did. He separated a small portion of it and used it as a supplementary material for a ring and gave the ring the function to allow him to teleport. Of course, he downed several fortune potions to the point where he ran out of potions, but in return, he was able to create the ring.

[ Name: Ring of Spatial Recall ]

[ Grade: 6th ]

[ Description: The Ring of Spatial Recall is a finely crafted ring imbued with extraordinary properties. Made of a lustrous metal and set with a gem that glows with an otherworldly blue light, the ring has been granted the ability to teleport the wearer to any location they have previously visited. ]

[ Effects: Allows the wearer to teleport to any location they have previously visited, This function was made possible using the Essence of Tesseract Energy, extracted from the Space Stone, as a supplementary material.]

After he finished admiring his ring, Henry then turned his attention to the blob of gravitonium that constantly moved around like water. "Hello, previous," Henry said as he extracted an essence of the gravitonium. He paused for a second as he heard someone wailing, like they were in pain. "Am I hallucinating or something?" he asked himself before he continued extracting, which led to him frowning as he thought, "What the hell," as he looked at the statue of the gravitonium essence.

[ Name: Essence of Conscious Gravitonium ]

[ Grade: 5th ]

[ Description: The Essence of Conscious Gravitonium is a rare and potent material extracted from the unique element known as Gravitonium. This essence contains traces of human consciousness that were absorbed into the element, maintaining awareness within the liquid. The dark, swirling substance emanates a sense of sentience and gravitic power, making it an extraordinary and somewhat eerie material. ]

[ Effects: +150% gravitational manipulation, +150% consciousness transfer, +150% telepathic communication, +150% energy absorption, +150% enhanced durability ]

[ Deterioration-Rate: 0% ]

"Well, that explains the wailing I heard when extracting," he mused as he looked at the essence, then at the Gravitonium. "Hmm, I never tried extracting the essence of a living being, which is really stupid. I guess that still makes me uncomfortable, treating humans like they were material." However, he paused for a second as he thought, "But why should I care? My goal in this world is to get stronger, not help people. My goal is to become immortal through achieving godhood. Why should I care about everyone else?" The more he asked himself, the more he frowned as his eyes grew colder and less emotional. "Well, I know what to do," he muttered to himself as he got up.

-scene change-

Deep underground in a facility with the SHIELD logo on it, inside what seemed to be a lobby area, several agents could be seen wearing SHIELD tactical gear. However, these agents weren't exactly alive. In fact, there wasn't much left of them aside from their clothes. It was as if everything that made them human—their flesh, blood, their soul—was sucked out completely, leaving nothing. Further into the lobby were two figures. One of the figures was a still-alive agent of SHIELD, and in front of him was Henry, who was in his Equalizer gear. The supposed SHIELD agent constantly backpedaled with his hands, terror written across his face, as Henry stretched out his hand towards the agent.

"No, no, no, stay back, stay bac- hail Hydra!" Only for Henry to activate his MP and use his essence extraction skill on the agent.

That's right, Henry was using the essence extraction skill on a human, and if the painful cry from the supposed SHIELD agent, who was a Hydra agent, was anything to go by, the skill was painful. Upon activating this skill, the Hydra agent was completely sucked dry of everything that made him human—his body and soul—which then were turned into essence, two different essences: an essence of body and an essence of soul.
