For most of our worries, Lily and I had to focus on obtaining food since we spent 2 whole days inside that cave without any nutrients to fill our bodies. While searching for food, we encountered a village at the far west. Of course, I couldn't go into the village since dragons are hated all across the world. I needed some type of disguise.
"Mr. Draggy, wear this." Lily said
"Where did you get this?" I asked
"I stole it," Lily said with a bright smile.
"You're pretty useful kid keep this up, and I might actually recruit you as my partner in crime." I said. The disguise included sunglasses, a blue cap, and a blue shirt with a sunshine symbol that says, "Life is Sunshine." It was pretty lame but at least it didn't give us much attention. Walking into the village, the people around us were shocked to see an unusual looking pet.
"Talia verba non possunt describere hanc inusitatae creaturae," an old man said speaking in quotes. At first, I thought this man was actually speaking a secret language or maybe just crazy.
"Who are you?" I shouted.
"Call me Tim," Tim smiled. Then again, another human understood me.
"How do you understand what I'm saying?" I asked. The people around us were creating rumors about the old man being crazy for talking to a mere pet.
"You two come inside it's far too risky to chat here." The old man said. Walking into the old man's shop, it was filled with antiques and vintages. Besides the fancy antiques being old and dusty, it was said that these antiques are worth more than gold. But I kept staring at the 5 dragon crystal necklaces.
"Ah, I see the necklaces grabbed your attention." The old man laughed.
"Where did you find this?" I asked
"Back in my day, my father told me to go catch a nickel in the old shop, but of course, I was a rash kid, so I flub the dub. I found myself lost in the forest until I found 4 dragon statues containing 4 crystals, so I converted them into necklaces. As for the 5th gem, it was found in the Royal Palace. I don't know where it originated from." The old man said.
"Was this forest the sacred forest?" I asked.
"Yes indeed, that place was colder than the Hinges of Hell, Colder than a Brass Toilet Seat in the Yukon, and So Cold That the Milk Cows Gave Icicles" The old man laughed.
"Anyways here take this red dragon necklace I will give it to you for free." The old man said
"Wow thanks old man" I said happily.
"No problem" the old man said
I wanted to keep asking questions, but me and Lily stomachs growl.
"Seems like you two have been running a while without food. Here, help yourself." The old man said. It was a steak, with curry rice and miso soup. Lily started crying and reflecting on our tough journey.
"Thank you, Mr. Gramps, I really owe you." Lily said, smiling.
"No need young lady eat as much as you want. I'm not some broke old man." The old man said. The old man looked at me and said.
"About me understanding you, I was once a half dragon, but not anymore." The old man said sadly. Before I could even comfort the old man. Armed men busted down the doors and break the windows. There was smoke all over the place I couldn't see anyone then I called out.
"Lily! Lily! Where are you!?" I shouted. Then one of the armed men shot me in the leg and used poisonous gas on me.
"No Mr-." Lily voice got cut off and I suddenly passed out that was the last memory I had before I passed out. I woke up in a cell and the old man was in the cell.
"Where am I?" I asked.
"In the Royal Palace cell one of the most impossible prisons in the world." The old man said
"Where is Lily?" I asked.
"She is the daughter of the emperor Lily Campbell and her father would be the King Charles lll. So she's safe in the presence of her father." The old man said. The minute I heard Charles lll I fell onto my knees. I was in so much rage. How could Lily keep this a secret from me? Plus, come to mention it Lily was quiet ever since we got to town could be it that she known the armed men were coming? I didn't know what to believe and kept jumping into conclusions. Then a guard came in. Shaking his knees he said
"Your Majesty requests to see both of you." The Guard said. Unlocking our cells he guided us to Kings Charles bedroom. There I saw Lily and King Charles.
"Lily!!" I shouted.
"Mr. Draggy!!" Lily yelled. She was about to run and hug me until her father stopped her and said.
"Don't touch that bucket of filth." King Charles said. Me and Charles eyes clashed together. We were obviously not on good terms.The vibe in the room was like cats and dogs fighting.
"The insolent dragon Kuru and the owner of the antiques shop Tim. Good to see you all in good health." Charles said smiling while holding a cup of wine.
"You little Whippersnapper I had everything you had to go and kill my wife why!?" The old man cried in pain.
"Why? You ask. She was annoying and an mere fool in my path." Charles said with his pierce eyes staring at Tim. The old man ran at Charles witha knife and said
"I'll kill you b*stard!" The old man yelled. Lily defended hes father and took the hit. The knife deeply inside her stomach she said
"I'm very grateful for the food you gave me Mr. Gramps but I cannot allow you to kill my father." Lily said.
"Lily No!!!" I shouted.
