Just like that came the time for Izuku and others to go for their Hero internship.
Aizawa and Vlad King who assembled their class in front of the school ground as buses were ready at the gate.
As they lined up their class in an orderly manner, Aizawa said, "I don't know if you have interacted with any seniors or not about this.
But know this, if you have, then you must have heard the internship to be filled with fun and learning, that may have been the case in the past, not anymore.
There will be learning but no fun in it, you will be getting first hand experience how these heroes handle crowds, and make sure the public doesn't go rampant.
You guys will be subjected to scrutiny, and you have to prove yourself without lashing out at the public.
Any mistake can prove to be very fatal, not just to your hero career, but also to the hero you are going to work under, so make sure you behave yourself, especially Bakugo, I don't want to hear a single complaint regarding your behaviour when dealing with people." Aizawa said the last line while looking at Bakugo.
Bakugo, who for some reason was having a big bandage on his face, snorted on being told to behave himself.
While the other students were already frightened on hearing Aizawa sensei's words who didn't sugarcoat a single thing.
Well only Izuku, Maki and Momo weren't scared, as it was all planned, and hid it well.
Vlad King, seeing the atmosphere suddenly turn tense, sighed as he said, "Why don't you cut them some slack, they are still kids, if you put so much pressure on them from the get go, even if they weren't gonna make any mistakes they would end up making one.
Afterall the situation isn't that severe that we adults can't handle," said Vlad King as he shaked his head, then looked at the tensed students as he said, "Don't listen to him too much kids, no need to be all worked up, enjoy the internship, learn new things, and make sure you show everyone, that you are the future of hero society.
Just make sure you don't cause any trouble to anyone, neither the heroes not the public, as it is that the past year has been very hectic and chaotic for everyone, and you Bakugo, even though I'm not your homeroom teacher, I'll warn you, don't misbehave with anyone
You are already walking on a thin rope, if a hero's work got increased because of your temperament, or you caused trouble for the public or the hero, you'll be kicked out of the school." finished Vlad King, which lightened the mood up for the students, while Bakugo couldn't do anything other then snorting and grumbling, "No need to say that again and again"
Bakugo was very angry listening to everyone telling him what to do, but decided to not lash out right now, as it would only cause more trouble to him, and he has had enough trouble already.
After the necessary information was relayed, the students went into their respective buses, which would take them to their internship office, if within the city, and to the nearest station, if outside it.
Since Izuku can teleport, Maki's internship was with Midnight who was active in the city during the school hours and she can go with Midnight to Saitama, so it was no need, and Momo whom Izuku was gonna teleport to her internship office, all of them decided not to take the bus.
Once the students started getting in the bus, Izuku, Maki and Momo left the school campus, went to the hero tower, took their stuff, as Izuku first teleported Momo in front of Dragon Hero Ryukyuu's office.
The skies over Okinawa were clear, the sun casting a warm, golden glow over the city.
Izuku, carrying Momo Yaoyorozu with him in princess carry, teleported her in front of Ryukyuu's hero office.
As they approached the office compound, Izuku put Momo down in front of the entrance.
"Remember, Momo," Izuku said, his voice firm but gentle. "Keep a close eye on Ryukyuu. We need to make sure she doesn't become a threat to us, and what are her views on the things that happened in Fukuoka, given she's also a heteromorph, and if she can be turned towards our side or not,"
Momo nodded, her expression serious. "I understand, Izuku. I'll make sure to observe and report back anything important. Thank you for trusting me with this, I'll make sure to not let you down."
Izuku smiled, his eyes filled with confidence in her abilities. "I know you'll do great. Good luck, see you in a week." Said Izuku as he kissed Momo's lips, hugged her before going back to the Hero Tower.
With that, Momo turned and walked towards the entrance of the building. She took a deep breath, steeling herself for the task ahead. As she entered the office, she was greeted by a friendly receptionist who directed her to Ryukyuu's office on the top floor.
The elevator ride up was quick, and soon Momo found herself standing in front of a large door with a plaque that read "Ryukyuu, Pro Hero." She knocked politely.
"Come in," a voice called from inside.
Momo opened the door and stepped into the spacious office. Ryukyuu, in her human form, was seated behind a large desk, surrounded by various documents and reports. She looked up and smiled warmly as Momo entered.
"Ah, you must be Yaoyorozu," Ryukyuu stood up to greet her. "It's a pleasure to meet you in person.
I was fascinated by your performance at the sports festival, especially how creatively you used your quirk.
The only issue is the potential damage your quirk might cause when creating more destructive things. I want to teach you how to properly use your quirk to avoid public criticism for the damage and to prevent you from having to pay for repairs yourself.
I wasn't sure if you would accept my offer, so thank you very much for agreeing to my internship request" Ryukyuu said as she bowed in front of Momo.
Momo bowed respectfully. "I should be the one thanking you, Ryukyuu-san. It's an honor to be here and I am very grateful for your concern. I look forward to working with you and learning how to use my quirk better without causing too much damage to the surroundings."
Ryukyuu gestured to a chair in front of her desk. "Please, have a seat. Let's get to know each other a bit before we dive into the details of your assignment."
Momo sat down, appreciating the welcoming atmosphere. They spent a few minutes exchanging pleasantries, discussing Momo's background and her experiences at U.A. High School. Ryukyuu shared some of her own experiences as a Pro Hero, making Momo feel at ease.
After the introductions, Ryukyuu stood up and motioned for Momo to follow her. "Let me show you to your room. You'll be staying with us for the next week, right?"
"Yes," Momo replied, standing up and following Ryukyuu out of the office.
They walked down a hallway and arrived at a cozy room with a large window that offered a stunning view of the city and the ocean beyond. The room was furnished with a comfortable single bed, a desk, and a small sitting area.
"This will be your room," Ryukyuu said, opening the door and stepping inside. "I hope you find it comfortable. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask."
Momo looked around, feeling grateful for the warm welcome. "Thank you, Ryukyuu. This is perfect."
Ryukyuu smiled. "I'm glad you like it. Now, settle yourself here, rest for a while, once you are done, let's go over your duties while you're here.
I'll be relying on you to assist with various tasks and keep an eye out for anything unusual. Your insight and abilities will be invaluable, and don't worry, you aren't alone, your senior Nejire Hado will also be here, accompanying you and helping you get used to the duties you have to do."
Momo nodded, her resolve strengthening. "I understand. I'll do my best to support you and ensure everything goes smoothly."
Ryukyuu placed a reassuring hand on Momo's shoulder. "I have no doubt you will. Welcome aboard, Yaoyorozu. Let's make this week a productive one."
As Momo settled into her new surroundings, she couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and determination. This was her chance to prove herself and make a significant contribution, and be of use to Izuku.
