The sun was setting, casting a warm golden glow over the park where Izuku and Fuyumi had first met after the whole Emi incident. The Yoshino Park. They sat together on the same bench, the memories of that day flooding back to them.
They roamed around the park, enjoying the beautiful weather, all the while making small talk where Izuku asked how Emi was doing and all that.
Fuyumi said, "You need to meet her, she's been very stubborn ever since you went missing, to the point she said she'll come to school only when you are back.
Although her parents bring her to school, she doesn't study anything at all, now that I told her you are back, she demanded you to meet her, make sure to take time out and meet her," said Fuyumi remembering all the tantrums she threw ever since Izuku went missing.
Following this they talked some more, with Izuku catching up on the things that happened for the past year, as slowly people started leaving the park.
Leaving only Izuku and Fuyumi, all alone in the park, sitting on the bench, enjoying the silence while watching the sunset, as Fuyumi rested her head on Izuku's shoulder.
Fuyumi took a deep breath, gathering her courage. "Izuku, there's something I want to tell you," she said softly.
Izuku turned to her, his eyes filled with warmth and curiosity. "What is it, Fuyumi?" he asked gently.
Fuyumi looked into his eyes, feeling her heart pound in her chest. "Izuku, I... I love you, and I want to be with you for the rest of my life" she confessed, her voice barely above a whisper.
Izuku's eyes widened in surprise at the sudden confession, but then a soft smile spread across his face as a relief washed over him. "Fuyumi, I love you too, and would love to spend the rest of my life with you," he said, reaching out to take her hand in his.
Tears welled up in Fuyumi's eyes as she leaned into Izuku's embrace, feeling a sense of warmth and happiness wash over her. "I've been wanting to tell you for so long," she whispered, her voice filled with emotion.
Izuku held her close, his heart overflowing with love for this amazing woman beside him. "I'm glad you did, Fuyumi," he said softly, pressing a kiss to her forehead.
"But Fuyumi, there's something you should know, I can't leave those three, they are completely dependent on me, and I can't betray them, or leave them for you," said Izuku as he faced Fuyumi.
"Not even for me?" Fuyumi asked, her eyes betraying a hint of jealousy.
"No, just as you supported me when no one else did, I supported them when they were at their lowest. Now that they depend on me, it's my duty to support them till the end," Izuku replied with unwavering sincerity in his gaze.
"Because if I were to leave them for you, what's to stop me from leaving you for someone else? And besides, I've already been intimate with them. If I were to leave them now, they might think I only wanted their bodies and abandoned them afterward. I can't do that. It's my responsibility to take care of them, both as a man and as someone who has made a promise never to abandon them," he explained, never breaking eye contact with Fuyumi.
Fuyumi felt a pang of sadness at the realization that Izuku had already been intimate with them, but she remained silent, processing his words.
Before she could respond, Izuku continued, "Of course, that doesn't mean I won't pay attention to you. You'll receive just as much attention as they do—not more, not less. But if you're asking me to leave them to be with you, then I have to decline. I won't betray their trust in me just to be with you."
"Even if it hurts me?" Fuyumi inquired softly.
"Even if it hurts you, Fuyumi. You have your mother and your brothers who care for you and love you. They'll support you. But those three have no one else but me," Izuku replied firmly.
"Kaina lost her parents to disease while she was away on missions. Maki's parents rejected her, and Momo's parents were killed before her eyes. They have no one to rely on but me. So rather than betraying their trust in me, that I'll always be there for them, I'm willing to endure your resentment and the pain of not being with you. Take your time to think about whether you're willing to share me with them or not," he concluded, releasing Fuyumi's hand.
As they sat together in the fading light, Rei approached them, a gentle smile on her face. "Izuku, may I have a word with you?" she asked.
Fuyumi, still contemplating what to do, was shocked by her mother's sudden appearance as she asked, "Mom, what are you doing here?"
Izuku nodded respectfully, turning to face Rei with a gentle expression. "Ah, Fuyumi's mother, of course, Rei-san, please do join us," he said, motioning for her to take a seat.
Rei looked at him with surprise. "So you know my name?" she asked.
"Of course," Izuku replied earnestly. "Fuyumi has shared a lot with me, including the difficult experiences you've faced. I'm truly sorry for all that you've had to endure." With a gesture of respect, he stood up and bowed his head before Rei.
Rei's expression softened at Izuku's words. "I never imagined Fuyumi would confide in anyone about those things," she admitted.
"Fuyumi needed someone to listen, and I was glad to be there for her," Izuku explained sincerely. "But I'm truly sorry for what you've been through."
Rei waved off his apology with a small smile. "Thank you, but there's no need to apologize. You've done nothing wrong." With a graceful movement, she took a seat beside them, her eyes reflecting a mix of warmth and concern.
"Izuku," she began, her tone gentle yet firm, "I know you care deeply for my daughter, and I appreciate that. But I need to be sure that you won't ever break her heart. Your willingness to prioritize those other girls' feelings speaks volumes about your character."
Rei paused for a moment before continuing. "With that, I trust that you won't use my daughter and discard her. You have my blessing."
"I would never do such a thing," Izuku stated firmly, his gaze unwavering. "After all the care and determination Fuyumi has shown for me, searching tirelessly for me for a whole year, I could never repay her by abandoning her for someone else."
"As for choosing between Fuyumi and those three girls," he continued, "I can't make that choice. I won't make that choice. Each of them holds a special place in my heart, and I refuse to hurt any of them by favoring one over the others."
Rei listened intently, her expression serious as she considered Izuku's words.
"I understand your concern," Izuku said respectfully, "but rest assured, I won't rush into any decisions. However, if you believe I would leave those three girls for Fuyumi simply because we love each other, then I must make something clear. If I were to ever abandon them, I would be just as likely to leave Fuyumi for someone else, perhaps someone more physically attractive or appealing. Are you prepared to see your daughter heartbroken because I've found someone 'better'? Because if I left those three girls who depend on me, I would do the same to Fuyumi. I hope you understand."
Rei studied Izuku's face for a moment, seeing the sincerity in his eyes. After a brief pause, a gentle smile spread across her lips.
"You passed the test," she began, her tone warm yet serious. "If you had agreed to abandon those three girls for my daughter's sake, then you wouldn't have been right for her."
Rei's words sank in, and Izuku nodded in understanding.
"Fuyumi is still new to this concept of love," Rei continued, her expression softening. "She may not fully comprehend the complexities of relationships, so when she expressed her feelings for you and shared what you've been through, I needed to be certain you were the right fit for her."
Izuku listened attentively, his gaze unwavering.
"You've proven yourself," Rei affirmed. "Those girls may need you more than my daughter does. While Fuyumi has me to lean on for comfort, if what she's told me about them is true, then they are truly alone in this world. It's a harsh reality."
Rei paused, her voice carrying a hint of sadness as she reflected on her own past.
"I never had a choice in marrying Endeavor," she confessed, her tone tinged with regret. "He was abusive and only cared about having a perfect child, regardless of my own feelings. But my daughter has a choice, and she has chosen you."
Rei's eyes met Izuku's, a mixture of approval and caution in her gaze.
"While it may not be ideal for her to be with someone who has multiple partners, your sincerity and care for both Fuyumi and those girls reassure me," she explained. "As long as you continue to treat her with love and respect, and ensure her happiness, I will support your relationship."
Rei's tone softened, her motherly instincts kicking in.
"Take care of her, Izuku," she said, her voice gentle yet firm. "I don't want to see a single tear in her eyes because of you."
Izuku met Rei's gaze with sincerity in his eyes. "I promise, Rei-san. I will never hurt Fuyumi, and I will always protect her with everything I have," he said earnestly.
Rei nodded, her smile widening. "Thank you, Izuku. That's all I needed to hear, I leave my daughter in your hands" she said, her voice filled with relief.
"Mom, what are you saying," shouted Fuyumi in embarrassment.
"Stop overthinking it," Rei urged, her tone firm yet compassionate. "You love Izuku, he loves you, and he's promised to take care of you. Life doesn't always go as you planned. I didn't have the luxury of choosing whom I loved or married. You have that choice, even though Izuku already has three girls in his life. He's willing to be with you and he's been honest about it. If you expect everything to go according to your plan, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. Embrace this opportunity, Fuyumi. Yesterday, you wanted Izuku. Now you're hesitating. Make a decision quickly, or I might just take Izuku away for myself. Afterall even I deserve to experience love, afterall someone like Izuku would definitely know how to care for me" Rei concluded, her grip on Izuku's hand tightening as his hand was between her two huge mounds, as she spoke.
"Nooo, I want him, I want him," said Fuyumi hurriedly as she hugged Izuku tightly, pulling him towards her.
Seeing Fuyumi finally accepting her feelings Rei smiled, as she looked at Izuku and winked at him.
Well only god knows what the wink and pulling Izuku towards him meant, as Izuku could feel the wink and her holding his hand tightly had a motive other than prompting Fuyumi to be decisive hidden underneath.
Well only god knows what's going to happen, and Izuku didn't overthink about it for now, as he calmly sat on the bench, with Fuyumi holding Izuku's hand tightly, while Rei also had her head resting on Izuku's shoulder as she felt a certain calmness from it.
Izuku didn't stop her from doing it, as he simply sat there not thinking anything and just enjoying the moment.
