Chapter 19 - Goodbye My Friends

Pengo darted in front of the twins, taunting, "You dare to take your eyes off me? Well then, you're not worthy of my attention," as he swiftly kicked Luke into the sky, sneering, "Now you die, you fool!" He then swung his palm at Rukh's throat, prompting Rukh to evade by flipping backwards twice before resuming his stance.

"He dodged it? But how?" Pengo puzzled to himself as he noticed an unfamiliar surge of stigma pressure escalating and turned to look.

"Rukh! Protect Akihiro, I got this guy!" Luke commanded.

Recognizing the gravity of the situation, Rukh sprinted toward Akihiro and Tac, to offer assistance. Shocked and incensed, Pengo leaped towards Luke in a fury.

Luke launched a fireball at Pengo, who smoothly dodged it, swiftly darting behind Luke and delivering a punishing kick, sending him hurtling toward the ground, where he crash-landed amidst a flurry of swirling dust.

He steadily approached Luke through the dissipating dust, only to be met with a surprise. The dust began to clear, revealing a resolute Luke, holding a colossal fireball.

"Grr... you!" Pengo seethed furiously, caught off guard by the unexpected turn of events.

..

..

Meanwhile Rukh launched a fierce kick at Tac's head, but Tac swiftly evaded, countering with a powerful punch to Rukh's chin, before sliding to a stop.

"I never underestimate my opponents, regardless of their appearance. I go all out with the intent to kill," stated Tac, casting a stern glance at Akihiro.

"You bastard!!" Akihiro furiously retorted, attempting to sweep Tac's legs. Surprisingly, Tac skillfully evaded, kicking the air, disappearing and leaving Akihiro in an awkward upside-down position before Tac's grip tightened around his legs.

Tac mercilessly kicked Akihiro in the face, causing him to slide as if on a swing, while Tac held a firm grip on his legs. He continued with two brutal kicks to Akihiro's stomach, tearing his shirt with the sheer force of the shockwaves.

Bent over in agony, Akihiro attempted to shield his stomach, feeling intense pain, before Tac released his legs, and Akihiro crashed to the ground, screaming in agony.

Sarah crying out "No!...Aki!"

"Your screams annoy me," Tac declared, standing on Akihiro's chest.

"No... I can't use fire eruption with Akihiro so close,"

"Ultimate fireball release!" shouted Luke as he unleashed his ultimate attack at Pengo, but Pengo deflected it and retaliated with a combined elements Laser beam, challenging Luke.

"Let's see you come back from this one... now die!!" bellowed Pengo, releasing his devastating laser beam.

..

..

Through Luke's eyes, he watched both his and Pengo's attacks converging. He silently whispered "for my friend!!" as he glanced at his brother, and an explosion ensued, with the laser beam visibly passing through Luke.

"No!!!" screamed Luke.

Akihiro, witnessing his friend caught in a deadly explosion, was overwhelmed with helplessness and grief as tears streamed down his face. He muttered to himself, "He... he sacrificed himself for me."

Dust and sparks filled the air.

"Ha-ha-ha… I got him… that's one down," said Pengo, awaiting the dust to settle.

As the dust finally cleared, a battered figure emerged, standing on their own two feet.

"Imp-ossi-ble!!!" Pengo exclaimed, taking a step back in fear.

Once the dust settled, Luke lay mortally wounded, a gaping hole in his chest, one arm missing, as he slowly fell face-first to the ground.

"Ha-ha-ha!!!" Pengo laughed, realizing he had succeeded in killing Luke.

"Luke!!... Noo!!" Akihiro exclaimed, lifting his hand in a futile attempt to reach out to his fallen friend.

Tac stepped on his palm, remarking "Since you are a family man, let's see how you react to your real family members passing," as he manipulate his energy, forming it into a deadly sword.

"Now… watch carefully, you'll never see them alive again," Tac declared, launching the stigma sword towards Sarah, Amelia, and Noah, but Rukh intercepted and grasped the stigma sword, pulling it away from Akihiro's family.

"I... I can't let it... get to them, for my brother, I'm going to kill you all"

"Hmmm..... Now that is dealt with, it's time to dispose of them," Pengo announced, turning away from Luke's lifeless body lying on the ground.

..

..

"He blocked it,"

"Oh, did he?" mocked Tac, raising his hand and commanding, "Spin!"

The sword abruptly surged, impaling Rukh. In silent agony and weakening with every passing moment, Rukh cast a sorrowful glance towards Akihiro and his family, blood seeping from his mouth.

"Rukh!!" Akihiro's cry rang out, laced with desperation and agony, as he remained pinned to the ground.

Tac, unyielding in his cruelty, strode towards Rukh, standing at a distance and whispered his sinister goodbyes.

"Thank you… for being my friend," Fab managed to utter, evoking a bittersweet smile, before the sword exploded, showering Akihiro, Tac, Pengo, and Akihiro's family in Rukh's blood.

As Akihiro witnessed the devastating loss of his friend, he was overwhelmed by grief and fury in equal measure. His vision blurred as tear-streaked cheeks bore witness to the immense pain and loss he felt. A cacophony of raging emotions surged within him, rendering him numb to the world around him.

"We don't need the bodies of little children, they are worthless" said Tac but then he felt something chilling and he quickly turned around, it was Akihiro levitating.

"What the…?" Tac's confusion morphed into bewilderment.

Pengo, too, registered the anomaly. "Wait! What is this I am sensing?!" he exclaimed in disbelief.

As the two adversaries trembled, an unfamiliar and overwhelming pressure seized them, bearing down upon them with the weight of an approaching storm, leaving them with an unsettling sense of imminent peril.

"Whhere was he hiding all this power? This is not good, Pengo! Get rid of them so we can gang up on him," said Tac trembling.

"With pleasure, laser beam!!" yelled Pengo as he unleashed their combined laser beam attack at Akihiro's family. The attack was so fast and powerful that it was impossible to dodge, even at a long range. It illuminated the sky and caused a humongous explosion.

Intense dust particles and sparks from the explosion filled the air, spreading rapidly. It took a while to clear, but eventually, everything settled.

"Eurgh!" exclaimed Pengo, eyes wide in disbelief at what he was seeing.

"Ugh! Impossible!" said Tac, refusing to believe it.

It was Akihiro; somehow, he had saved his family and himself from Pengo's attack.

"A… Akihiro," gasped his mother as she lost consciousness. Akihiro levitated downwards, gently laying his brother, his sister, and his mother on the ground.

"Rest… it's my turn now," a dual voice emerged, one male, unmistakably Akihiro's, and one of a female.
