Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 Shark Hunting

He quickly removed [Skill Scroll: Elementary Shooting Skills] from his backpack after obtaining the weapon and utilized it right away.

Suddenly, a memory materialized in his thoughts.

It appeared as though he had been shooting for years. He thought he could even strike a copper coin ten meters away.

The military crossbow he was holding likewise appeared to be familiar to him, entirely different from the first time he saw it.

The information on the chat panel indicated that the sharks occasionally bite the rafts without an obvious reason.

Thus,if someone is careful enough and don't fall into the sea, there is enough time to use some wood to fix the raft base.

Of course there still a few unfortunate players who were panicked and fell off the raft, becoming the sharks meal. Still, the majority of players continued to live in safety. If you are not certain that you can kill the shark, it is best to avoid trying to fight it. Otherwise, they will attack the raft base nonstop if they became enraged.

However, Stev believed he could attempt it.

Because his raft base could float in midair, he could fight sharks pretty near to them without fear of a retaliation.

Furthermore, a stone crossbow arrow can certainly seriously harm or even kill a juvenile tiger shark if it hits right at its eye.

That was his plan ever since he saw the military crossbow in the trading panel.

All he wanted was a good night's sleep. In all honesty, he was still really terrified despite having the floating raft.

Not everyone can actually fall asleep peacefully under the presence of a roving shark.

Stev knew that his sole option for attacking was stealthily. He had a very weak physixal fitness after all. If he decided to take the fight head on he knew that it had no distinction than seeking death.

'I'll take a nap after I finish it, hmmm there mustn't be anyone who will able to sleep tonight. Sharks, after all, never sleep!.' he thought.

Leveraging the moonlight, Stev quickly noticed the black light, which was wandering in the water.

However, what took Stev by surprise was how much the black light appeared to have faded, turning into a shade of gray.

"What's happening? Is it as a result of my crossbow and military crossbow skills?"

Stev silently guessed. Maybe because my strength has increased, the opposing party's threat has decreased, and the black light has become weaker?

Stev practiced with a military crossbow and fired an arrow at a piece of firewood ten meters out in the sea before attempting the attack.

He hit it with accuracy, and the crossbow arrow had decent power—it went straight through the wooden board.

Still, there were only five arrows remaining.

Even though Stev lost an arrow, he felt no regret. It was best to proceed with caution. He had never used this gadget before, after all.

"Time for shark hunting" he declared, a cold glimpse reflecting in his eyes.

Controlling the raft, he approached the small tiger shark with caution.

Sweat gathered on Stev's palms. He stared at the shark not daring to lose it from his sight.

Twenty meters······Fifteen meters······Ten meters······Five meters······

Stev took the risk and continued moving closer and closer to make sure it would strike the most crucial spot and kill it with one blow.

This was the first time in his two lives that he had such close contact with a shark, but now wasn't the time to lose his calm. So he took a breath, and continued to close the gap between them.

The light of the bright moon scattered on the sea, and the waves were slightly undulating, giving off flashes of light from time to time.

There are intermittent bursts of light from the brilliant moon shining on the sea, and the waves' gentle swaying motion creates this effect.

With his eyes narrowed, Stev watched the small tiger shark in the water, waiting for it to launch an attack and emerge from the water.

The small tiger shark curiously put its head out and got ready to pounce.

It was actully very irritated

'I've spent the entire day chasing him.' One could guess what the shark thought.

"Now!" Stev suddenly yelled.

A crossbow arrow flew out from the military crossbow in his hand.

It was the perfect moment.

A distance of five meters and an initial velocity of approximately 100M/S.

The stone arrow entered the small tiger shark's right eye and quickly made its way deep into its brain.

Drip~~

A splashing noise was heard, and the small tiger shark, whose head had just been revealed, plummeted back into the ocean.

Stev was ready for its last desperate attempt.

One second~

Two seconds~

Three seconds~

A full ten seconds passed, and the little tiger shark remained motionless floating on the surface of the sea. Upon taking a careful look the moonlight revealed a tinge of red around the shark's body.

[System prompt: Congratulations on killing an underage tiger shark]

"Did I really kill this little shark?"

Stev still couldn't believe it.

He extended his arm to make contact with the military crossbow in his grasp.

"Hey, it seems I'm pretty good!"

"With one move, I killed a shark instantly, which is worth bragging about for a year!"

Stev continued to wait for a while. The sea surface was already dyed red, and the little tiger shark was floating motionless on the sea surface with its belly turned over.

"It's unfortunate that I need a mobile phone to take and upload pictures."

Naturally, he only paused to think about these things; he wouldn't flaunt them. He wasn't that kind of person.

The shark appears to be longer than three meters.

"There must be a lot of good stuff.

Even if there is nothing else, the shark's meat can sustain me for a while ."

'It would be horrible if it attracted more sharks, so I better pack things and get out of here immediately.' he pondered for a while and then he quickly got in action.

He flew above the shark controlling the raft. Then he reach his hand out and put the entire shark into the backpack section.

He planned to go to an area far away from this place to reap the harvest.

Along the way he picked up some wood and some palm leaves.

Thirty minutes later he came to a stop.

"Well, I can rest here."

He then open the backpack section to extract the shark.

Bam~

The raft trembled slightly and nearly one-third of the raft was covered by the shark.

Practically all of the raft's remaining empty spots were filled now.
