Chapter 106 - Transdimensional

Upon checking the specifications I realised the transdimensional spell is complex and it requires a lot of mastery in the space laws, there is also a spell called 'Teleportation' which is the movement of an object within the same spatial layer, the same world. It was way easier to execute, even Amaterasu who doesn't have proficiency in the laws of space, could use it.

"Are you telling me that woman could use all of this...?" Amaterasu kept browsing through the abilities, due to her accomplishments in the laws of the sun, there were some she could use and some that she could not. Some were too complex for her while others were simpler.

"The Elysir you met was not at her peak, my wife is way more amazing than that" I spoke haughtily, now actually wondering how strong Elysir actually was and also... what could have injured her to to that extent when I found her in Egypt.

Amaterasu pouted and took me by the wrist, "Don't forget now I'm your wife too, Osiris".

"Hai Hai~"

I left her to her own designs as we sat side to side, I focused on the transdimensional spell while she browsed some energy manipulation techniques.

To learn a technique there was a certain pattern of energy manipulation that needed to be executed, it would have been more difficult for me if not for Energy Records, but in the case of the Transdimensional Spell, there was another issue.

'I only have sixty per cent affinity with space'.

[As long as you understand and can execute the spell, chaos points will immediately compensate for your lack of mastery in the laws of space. That is the reason why to create a Transdimensional spell, there was a cost of a hundred chaos points which were used to compensate for it. Now that you know how to execute it, the system doesn't need to intervene].

I nodded to Horus' words and tried to execute the spell following the same pattern that was stipulated in the cluster, it was like drawing a code with spatial energy, I immediately felt that I didn't have enough for the required output, and that's when the Septem Diebus kicked in.

[-100 Chaos Points].

I felt my energy output increase and reached a crucial spot of the spell's execution, even Amaterasu stopped what she was doing to look at me.

I had to decide the destination and that was when my mind broadened, I felt my consciousness leap out of my body into a humongous void realm, my eyes shone and I felt enlightened.

In this void realm, there were millions of dots... they had different colours and emitted different magnitudes of energy.

[Those are the nearby universes, Ray. The ones in yellow are the ones I have previously visited to get customers, the rest are unknown. The majority of them are universes in disarray with no particular abundant laws, there is no matter or life in them, only chaos]

Among them, the one that emitted the most energy -as Horus had stipulated- was the 'red' one.

[That is Solution Epsilon's Universe].

I decided to try with that one first and executed the spell, there was a brief tornado of energy that covered me, and it trailed around the world before crashing in front of me and creating a golden door. It looked very similar to the ones I had previously seen whenever I summoned a customer. But this one looked unstable and flickery.

[The execution of the spell is far from perfect, the gate is unstable and could collapse if kept for more than a few minutes].

'So even with Energy Records, it is not that simple'.

Before I even did anything, Amaterasu stood up and opened the door.

"Wait!-" I wanted to tell her that the door was unstable but she did open it and in front of her there was an endlessly white world, but not far away, there was another close door.

[Lady Elysir called this world the 'white path' and it is the most complex part of the transdimensional spell. It is an isolated field that translates and serves as a medium between the laws of that universe and the laws of this universe. Different universes have different time axes, spatial layers, and energy readings... to connect both there has to be a medium and it is this path. Not only that but it also protects against the void corrosion of the great plain, the barrier between universes, non-multiversal beings wouldn't be able to resist more than a few seconds if exposed to it. You must understand this Transdimensional spell might as well be magic of the highest order, it is perhaps Lady Elysir most complex creation].

"This is ridiculous..." Amaterasu commented, looking at the white world.

Another being also manifested at that time, Ophis appeared out of nowhere and looked around.

"Ophis...?"

"The complexity of this realm is beyond what even I and Baka-red could create, it is not about power, it is about wisdom and knowledge of the laws"

Amaterasu looked at her and nodded, "This is the peak of what can be attained with the laws of space, Ray... it must have taken her at least a million years of effort to create this, considering she was a genius... she must have longed to flee from that universe"

A cluster of dark energy was created in Ophis' hand before she released it, it spread in the form of a black fog that started covering the world and then, all of a sudden... marks began to appear. A foreign language that none of us could understand, that dialect was written all over the walls of this white world.

"It must be the scripture of the world she hails from, if I can study it, I should be able to replicate it" Ophis commented with interest, an interest that surprised me since she is usually very nonchalant.

"Why are you so interested?"

"Because this world is complete silence... there is no more primal silence than the one in this white world, not even the one in your soul".

I frowned and stood up, sighing and walking forward, not knowing why I felt a bit jealous that this white world was more 'silent' than my soul was.

[You should hurry up, a maximum of ten minutes before this gate collapses].

Amaterasu, Ophis and I walked to the other door and opened it, on the other side there was a forest, a blue cloudy sky and a sun concealed beneath those clouds but still shining up the whole world, it looked like your regular forest, but the concentration of mana in the air was at least ten times stronger than that of the earth.

"No doubt, this is a different universe. The Infinity laws feel... foreign" Ophis commented and Amaterasu nodded.

"I don't feel the leylines anymore, and there is no faith whatsoever. I'm not acknowledged as a Goddess in this place".

"Let's return, I just confirmed what I wanted to know, this gate is unstable and could collapse any minute now".

I pulled both of them away, and as I was doing so, Ophis disappeared back into my body while Amaterasu stopped mid-track.

"Why are you interested in learning a spell that creates a gate to another universe, Ray? You are not thinking of leaving, are you?"

"It is just a small trip, Amaterasu" I scratched my head, unaware of why she felt so concerned. Truly we are now engaged, but why does she care so much about my security?

She frowned, she didn't like it.

"You may think I'm being impertinent... but when I look at you, it feels like one day you will just disappear like you don't belong in our world"

"..."

"I may have married you out of diplomacy, for the sake of Takamagahara and Japan, to give ourselves another layer of security-"

"Quite honest, aren't you?~"

She pouted, "But I don't intend to slack on my responsibilities. I wish you would rely on me like I will rely on you. And I wish that you consider my home as your home too..."

"I want Elysir back with me, I can't achieve that if I stay... but I don't plan on leaving forever, I'm not that heartless. Do you understand me now?"

I tried to make it clear and concise.

"Then at least take someone else with you, don't go alone".

I had already thought about that, I know who I am going to take along.
