Chapter 57 - Sun's Blessing

The thrill of victory showered over Kuu who licked her claws as Anna's blood rained from that empty casket, staining Mount Yotei in blood.

"NOOOOO!!!"

Yuki screamed and that despairing hold told Sanae everything she needed to know. The feeling of his heart shattering was one he would never forget. Thankfully for him, today was not the day... that little girl, his daughter... had already been blessed by the sun.

Kuu's claws -coated with blood- shook a bit as Kuu noticed how close she was to dying, there were bruises and cuts all over her body. She couldn't believe a barely nascent Youkai was able to cause this much devastation.

*RUMBLE!!*

Perhaps she didn't notice, but Anna's blood was as hot as it could get and its temperature was only increasing. She bore her claws and Kuu-sama who had lowered her guard didn't even see it coming.

*WHOOOSH!!*

!!!

"What!?"

Five more gnashing wounds tore away her body in utter shock, darkness manifested from her body trying to heal her but Kuu-sama spat humongous amounts of blood in disbelief and held her waist, keeping her 'insides' inside her body and groaning in anger.

Behind her, the blazing silhouette of a little girl was doing much the same motion. Licking her bloodied ice claws.

"W-What are you!?"

Once Anna's body was completely restored, that flame dissipated and there she was, as good as new but with her dress all torn, showing an ungrateful sight.

Seeing how vastly she had underestimated her opponent, the ancient demon transformed into an even more gigantic and hideous woman with such dark energy seeping from her, that the moon seemed to shy away.

She was going serious.

Anna stood there, feeling way hungrier as she stomped on the ground and pillars of pointy icicles pierced from the ground towards that monster.

Similarly, the woman stomped on the ground and darkness seeped through to meet those pillars.

"An elemental Shinchu with fire and ice. Just what sort of freaky daughter you had, Yuki!?"

Kuu-sama cursed, keeping that little girl at bay and to do that she had to use everything she had. Little did she know. The girl's father was just as clueless… he didn't even know if that was his daughter anymore.

Where had that flame come from?

Yasaka Okami, Nurarihyon and Hasshaku-sama were the only Youkai in this world whose strength he revered and yet now his clueless daughter was effortlessly meeting one of them in combat and even winning!

He felt inwardly proud, but that was not the time.

"Sanae, Anna is okay... I don't know what happened but she came back like nothing happened!"

"A-Ah?" The confused mom didn't have a clue either.

...

As the battle progressed, the mountain shattered producing avalanches... putting Kuu-sama more and more into a tight spot as the girl seemed to have endless stamina, however, the Ancient Youkai never gave up.

She noticed that Anna's wounds wouldn't heal until she was in a near-death state, only then would the flames manifest and heal her body.

'How many times!? she can't keep doing that forever!'

Eventually, her wishes came true and Anna's eyes shook as a massive grumbling came from her stomach, resonating so hard that it resembled the howl of a beast. The girl blushed slightly before closing her eyes and falling on the snow, utterly tired and unconscious.

Her transformation receded and she returned to being that cute little girl with a grumbling stomach. On the other side, a bloodied Kuu-sama, missing a limb, collapsed.

"I… won…?"

She couldn't believe she, an ancient youkai, had survived this battle. There was blood everywhere, her dark blood worked like acid that melted the snow and turned this otherwise beautiful mountain into a hideous land. Although her wounds were healing, they were taking their time.

Her transformation receded, there were so many chunks of flesh missing due to this beast's relentless onslaught. It was like fighting a hyena.

"ANNA!"

The battle had switched places multiple times; shoutings were heard coming from the north. They were that of Yuki looking for his daughter, the strong winds dissipated his pleas.

Kuu-sama knew she couldn't fight him in her condition but there was no way she was going to let this hard-worked prey go. In the surroundings, there was nothing to see, no one to take a glimpse.

With groans she carried the girl's body back into her hut, it was a long and difficult journey deep in thought, trying to make theories and think how many secrets this little girl was holding.

'She is the daughter of a Shinchu and a Yuki-onna, but where is that flame coming from? that's a divinity. Is she somehow related to Amaterasu? or perhaps... that Kitsune?'.

No theories were believable enough, if this little girl was Amaterasu's relative, she wouldn't be in Mount Yotei, she'd be in Takamagahara like the rest of her fellow demigods.

'So then...?'

Her thoughts quickly dissipated amidst the fatigue; leaving a snowy trail that would soon disappear in this blizzard.

She threw the girl's sleeping body in the middle of the cold floor and fell on it, licking her lips and caressing the girl's adorable cheeks.

"How can you be so cute and yet so dangerous? I don't even know if I should eat you or keep you as a trophy~"

Without even making the decision, Kuu-sama's consciousness gave away, ultimately tired but also satisfied. When was the last time someone was able to fight her like this? only she knew.

When Anna woke up, she found herself in a dilemma... her hunger had receded to the point she could rationalize, a surprise. The memories of the things she had done came back showering her mind with lifetime regrets.

She had almost eaten her parents up like snacks. Just thinking about that, the tears didn't stop building up.

'Mom, Dad, Ray-chan...' She wanted to see them and apologise but that wouldn't be happening any time soon.

The other part of the dilemma was the softness her body was engulfed in, bringing her all the warmth and comfort she needed right at this moment. It was a warmth that was coming from inside and outside.

Opening her eyes she saw a pair of gigantic breasts in front of her face that defeated her mother's in an overbearing manner, there was no point in discussion. They were massive and yet so soft that all she could think of was eating those marshmallows.

*SNORE*

The person in question was that tall lady she had engaged in battle with, the one she had been killed by, the one she had almost killed. She was there, sleeping and embracing her covered in a quilt, lying down on a soft bed.

She tried to separate a bit but the woman's arms were like shackles, if anything she was pulled further into her massive voluptuous soft body that was like a living marshmallow.

Anna couldn't resist herself and took a light bite.

"Uhm~ po po po~" The lady moaned and giggled, holding the disheartened girl; she didn't taste like a marshmallow and it was at that precise moment that Anna lost interest.

"What a naughty girl~"

!!!

"You still want to eat me?" The lady asked, still with her eyes closed but awake.

"I'm sorry, Obasan, I didn't intend to-"

"I forgive you, dear~"

"Really?"

"Yes~"

"Really really?"

"Yes yes~"

"Thank you!"

"It was nothing, dear~"

"Then... could I go see Mom and Dad?"

"No~"

"..."

Anna ran out of arguments, according to her calculations this lady was supposed to say 'yes' and bring her back to her parents like the lost girl she was... at least that's how it was supposed to go.

"Ano... can't you bring me back to my parents, I want to see them and apologise!"

"Nope~"

"..."

Hasshaku-sama giggled, watching the girl in her arms completely at a loss for words, unaware of what she should do or say any more. Held in her arms, covered in softness, could she even reject?

"Why would you go back to that useless man when you can stay with me here on this mountain forever? don't you feel good right now? Are you still hungry?"

"T-That's true? why am I not hungry?"

"You're too tired to be hungry sweetheart, just like me, I can barely move... you roughed me up quite a bit you know?~" Kuu sighed and closed her eyes back down, intending to take another nap.

"Oba-san, please... i-if I get hungry again..."

"If you get hungry again, it will be safer for you to be with me rather than with them, no?"

"..."

Anna didn't find flaws in her logic, 'She's right... if I get hungry again... I don't want to eat them!'

"That's why I said... wouldn't it be better if I was your mommy instead?~"

"E-Eh?!"

"Forget that useless Shinchu and live here with me. I'll hunt all the food you need, I'll even teach you how to hunt. There is no need for you to leave this mountain any more"

Her cute cheeks were held as Kuu watched her with those pitch-black eyes of hers, embracing her in softness that only the likes of Hasshaku-sama could offer.

'R-Ray-chan, save me! she's too soft!'.
