Chereads / DxD: Multiversal Therapist / Chapter 52 - Primordial

Chapter 52 - Primordial

When had they ever been threatened so? The supreme tomb of Nazarick was undefeated and un-raideable. It didn't matter how beautiful and majestic this silver-haired goddess looked, she could only be bluffing.

"Insolent!-"

"Stop, Albedo…"

...

I didn't expect them to cross the gate so quickly and so defiantly, who are these beauties!?

We have the advantage in numbers but their sheer presence alone... do we have the advantage in power? I have never been afraid of a foe, but I must be careful in front of these two.

Furthermore, that one with the ten tails, is a kitsune. A Japanese mythical youkai!? But aren't they supposed to have just nine tails? I'm confused... one looks Egyptian, and the other looks Japanese. Both look hella strong.

A confrontation may not be the only way. But Solution looks like she has been suffering for the last hour.

I pointed my skeletal hand towards Solution.

"This is what you have done to my subordinate, do you expect me to remain cross-handed!?-".

"Have you never seen an evolving life form?" The Egyptian woman interrupted me.

"E-Evolving…?"

Evolution is a thing in YGGDRASIL but slimes can't evolve, they exist in many tiers with Solution's being one of the strongest but they shouldn't be able to evolve! Let alone she was created by Herohero with specific characteristics. Are you telling me...

"She's evolving… she's unconscious until her soul adapts to a new body. I can hasten up this process".

Her arm extended towards the unconscious solution and an odd star-like glistering was emitted towards her.

"Most lifeforms need the sun to survive, she's no exception".

With a mere gust of golden aura. That slime stopped flickering between blue and red and gained a black colour; Taking back the shape of the Solution I know... impossible. She evolved from a Greater Slime into an Elder Black Ooze?!

"Solution?" Yuri Alpha, the head maid, shook her awake and Solution's eyes opened now with a pitch-black pupil that denoted her race.

"W-Where am I? Alpha?"

She looked confused for a bit until her eyes gained clarity and she realised what sort of conundrum we were at.

"Ains-sama it is not what you think!"

...

With much relief, Solution was hugged by the rest of the Pleiades and began explaining what had transpired inside the gate.

*RUMBLE!!*

Everything until a ball of raw unadulterated plasma materialised in the silver goddess' hand.

!!!

"What are you doing?!" I asked in haste, ready to execute a spell.

She didn't say a word but the ball of plasma began to increase in size until a harrowing heat irradiated from it.

All the floor guardians remained on guard but I could feel by the sheer mana alone that what she doing was no joke. I can flee, I can take some of them with me, but this place will be gone, Nazarick will be gone.

During this junction, the kitsune giggled as if what was going on now was the most normal thing in the world with gales of wind blazing across as the floor itself began to scorch.

"I believe you were told you had one minute to either apologise or run, Ains-san. That minute is long gone~".

So that's what she was talking about, I thought we had already sorted that!?

"Solution is safe... there shouldn't be any more-"

I wanted to say that there was no reason for further conflict but that ball of plasma did nothing but increase in magnitude, morphing from an orange colour into a blue tone as the ground around us began to crack and melt. Her eyes were so cold...

This is a True Goddess.

"Ains-sama, orders!" Albedo asked me for an order, whether we would run, attack or die...

"Disrespect towards my master can't go unpunished, Ains-san. If we were to let you off today just like that, wouldn't you be let off easily after antagonising a God? Not only did she get to experience his miraculous hands that could have been massaging me instead, but she did so for cheap and even attained an evolution. And your answer is to disrespect us? You must think we're a joke"

They weren't happy and I know it is us who was in the wrong, they did nothing wrong. As much as it pains me, a scratch on my ego is better than the extinction of Nazarick.

"I apologise for the misunderstanding".

That Goddess looked at me for a whole second before that ball of plasma vanished as if it had never existed... but that hadn't been an illusion. The melted ground and tornadoes in the skies proved it.

"Let's go, Yasaka..."

"Well then, try to not make the same mistake again... she's a bit shortempered~"

Both Goddesses turned their heels and entered the door without even addressing us for another second.

"Wait, who are you!?"

They didn't stop.

*WHOOSH!*

I used a spell before they managed to close the door completely and it disappeared from this world, clearing the eclipse in the skies and returning the day into this world that had experienced nothing but night and disturbances.

Today I managed to save our legacy... whether that ball of plasma could truly destroy this whole area or not, I don't know... but I wasn't about to test it.

Thankfully, years of experience allowed me to make the wisest decision. The names and information revealed by my maxed appraisal allowed me to see how close we were to extinction.

AUTHOR NOTES:

First of all, I'd like to address a matter regarding the storyline, as I did my research in the world of Overlord, things happen very fast in that storyline. For example: On day one Ains reincarnated and on day two he was already fighting the invaders in Carne Village. This means the story flows very fast from a timeline standpoint. It is impractical for me so I'll alter the timeline to create some gaps in time. The dynamics between worlds like the differences in time zones and such will also be explained regularly within the story.

Now, regarding the reviews of the book. Every single review that's related to the pay gap will be erased. I don't need ya ungrateful bitches reading my book. Whether I put my book behind a pay gap or not depends on how it performs financially or if I just simply lost interest.

You're not obligated to pay anything, that's why I post free and paid chapters and the number of free chapters greatly surpasses the amount of paid chapters so y'all still win even without paying.

I'm an independent adult with a regular life. Writing takes me effort and I do it in my free time between work, sometimes even on the train. Sometimes I don't even want to write and I still do. If you have any inconvenience with paying then don't do it but don't come here like an ungrateful little bitch trying to boycott, go and read someone else's crappy cliche.

That said, to y'all who thank me for every chapter that I release, thanks for your support, it is greatly appreciated! I'd rather have just ten of you than a hundred of those ungrateful cave-dwelling rats.

You are all welcome to leave a review, if it is realistic I'll leave it regardless of whether it is one star or five stars; as long as it corresponds to the actual content of the book.
