Unaware of her master's predicaments up in the skies, Solution –just like shaltear had– also created her intelligence agents to survey the north of the city while Shaltear took care of the south.
'Thanks, master~' She thanked him in her mind.
She used the spell she obtained from the session, unbeknownst to Shaltear who stared at her and saw how three more solutions appeared, all carbon copies of the original but with a blue gooey body instead of her current pitch-black.
'If it hadn't been for Ray-sama, I wouldn't have been able to keep my connection with the slimes in E-Rantel. Evolving has increased my cognitive capacities'.
Similarly, being able to summon copies of herself was also a great advantage since all her copies were cognitively independent, they didn't represent a higher load in her mind, only mana consumption.
Without even receiving Solution's voiced order, they also went out of their way around the city; the three solutions walked around the city, replicating into more and more copies that merged with the crowds, each with a different aspect, all looking for prey to devour at the right place, at the right time.
Even then, as they searched for something interesting, the subtle smell of blood couldn't help but enter their nostrils, especially Shaltear. If anyone could tell the scent of blood, it was her.
"It seems that something interesting is happening right beneath us~"
Shaltear transformed into a shadow that entered the building while Solution dissolved into a black goo that chased along, into the For Great God's chapel.
Inside the great temple, in the main prayer room of the archbishops, a rather hideous scenery was taking place; in a dark room with only a few candles lit up, a lady sat with her legs crossed on a chair, twelve wings flapping lightly behind her.
In one hand, she had a pitch-black blade she played with until she threw it towards the man standing in the middle of the room, standing in between corpses and technically sweating blood.
*PUCHI!*
The knife pierced his leg, about fifteen pitch-black knives were piercing all over his body, his sacred robes all tainted in blood, and yet he failed to scream, all he could do was cough blood and nearly suffocate.
*COUGH!*
The woman lazily stared at him while she created another knife, seemingly out of nowhere, and played with it again. Her murderous gaze glanced at the dark ceiling where only shadows loomed, feeling a presence.
Azrael smiled and ignored those presences, a filthy rat passed by just as she played with her knife.
*PUCHI!*
Her knife pierced that rat straight in the head, it exploded by sheer force. Azrael smiled and waited, but to her disappointment, 'she' didn't make a move.
Her master's new pet, or her vampire companion.
Azrael was eager to test if that slime was qualified to be her master's pet, a being that would further split some of his time that he could spend impregnating her womb instead of someone else's.
'It will have to be some other time'.
"There are still ten more, archpriest" Azrael stated towards the man standing in between the corpses.
"P-Please... have mercy..."
She yawned and kept playing with her knife. Ten knives, one minute per knife.
"You humans have always been so ignorant, regardless of the world. This is my mercy... the mercy of worshipping a pagan god, or would you prefer death?".
'The insolence! The real pagan god is Osiris!' The archpriest cursed inwardly, words he'd never dare utter in front of this monster, this beautiful yet hideous monster.
"Even though you have been shrieking like a pig for a while, I still fail to see those four gods you so proudly pray for, aren't they going to come and help you? or could it be they are so weak that even me, just a mere envoy of my god, terrifies them?" Azrael smirked, mocking people's profane faith has been a hobby of hers since ancient times.
"C-Curse the pagan sun god!" The archpriest yelled, hoping she'd just end it all and kill him, a mistake.
"... bad choice".
*WHOOSH!*
Ten knives flew at him all at once, one of them even piercing his skull... the pain was all palpable, but death wouldn't come.
"Who in their right mind, wouldn't choose a quick and easy death?" Azrael questioned with a smile, as if rejoicing at their poor choice, unaware that she had become once again the sinful being who had fallen from the heavens due to her sadistic nature.
Nevertheless, who cared at this point? she could act this way for the sake of her master and come back to his bed in the evening to be spoiled and impregnated.
'It is all for master's sake' She smiled with piercing eyes that sent a shudder down the archbishop's spine, and the man asked for mercy once again with unintelligible words.
"If those four bastard gods that you worship were to be around, would they accept your corrupt and filthy nature, Archbishop? or those acolytes?".
"Abuse of power, rape, embezzlement, perversion... am I cleansing you from those gods... or am I cleansing those gods from you, which is it?" Her words knew no mercy, even as the man cried, all he could do was regret and bear the pain.
"Who is the True God of this world?" She asked.
"..."
"You leave me no choice". His lack of answer frustrated her.
Azrael's hand rose and one of the corpses in the ground started standing up of its own volition. The terrified face of another Archbishop showcased that he wasn't dead in truth, but the wounds in his body indicated otherwise.
"My name is Azrael, I'm the Sun God's envoy. And I shan't leave tonight until your feeble marrow understands who is the one True God of this world, Osiris".
Her feathers flew off her wings and pierced all of them all over like merciless bullets that clawed into the flesh.
Not for nothing she was called the Angel of Death.
*WHOOSH!*
AHHHHHHH!!!
With her mercy, she allowed them to at least scream, as their wounds were restored and they were farther and farther away from death, only to succumb once more.
"Who is the True God of this world?".
"T-The Sun God, Osiris- AHHHHHH!!!!"
"You say it so reluctantly, even when my lord has been merciful enough to pardon your lives. I could end this church, but my lord told me to be a bit 'understanding'. This lack of determination is so disappointing, unbefitting of my lord's mercy".
'She's insane!' They cursed, if his envoy was this psychotic, they didn't even want to imagine how bad the Sun God was.
"My god has shown forgiveness, and even then you still choose to deny his existence? unforgivable..."
*PUCHI!*
"AAH!"
"I will make you understand,"
*PUCHI!*
"UHHGG!!!"
"That disrespecting master is going to be,"
*PUCHI!*
"AAH!"
"The worst crime you could have ever committed".
...
While this heart-wrenching scenery occurred secretly in the Four Great God's temple, the two women eavesdropping couldn't help but inhale deeply but for different reasons.
'If I could at least take the best chance to exterminate this woman, it could be a worthy victory for Nazarick, Ains-sama would be proud' Shaltear thought, still having inhibitions as doing that would be going out of the scope of orders she received from her master.
'As expected of Ray-sama, all of his servants are so scary~ I guess that includes me too' Solution giggled and stared at Shaltear in the shadows.
'I'm sure Ray-sama would fancy to massage a vampire, but how?~'.
Nobody could truly tell what her agenda was.
