In Konoha, Shisui sat in the Hokage's office, the official attire marking his status. Hiruzen and Shikaku sat with him, smiles on their faces as they read the latest reports.
"Horyu did great," Hiruzen said, relief evident in his voice. He was glad Asuma had returned safely from the volatile Cloud Front and even more pleased that Horyu had proven himself as a capable leader. His actions were cold and brutal, traits essential in war.
Shisui, though elated, couldn't shake his worry. "I was reluctant to send him there," he admitted, his brow furrowed. "But now, A will be even more furious."
Shikaku leaned back in his chair, the tactical mind of the Nara clan always analyzing. "It's a double-edged sword. Horyu's success will provoke A, but it also shows our strength."
Shisui nodded, understanding the implications. "True. Horyu's actions sent a clear message, but we need to be prepared for A's retaliation."
Hiruzen, ever the seasoned strategist, added, "We'll need to bolster our defenses and prepare our troops. A won't take this lightly."
"How's morale?" Shisui asked, shifting the conversation.
Shikaku smiled slightly. "High. The troops see Horyu's leadership and success as a sign of strength. It's good for morale, but we must temper their expectations."
"Agreed," Shisui said. "We'll keep pushing forward, but cautiously. We can't afford to underestimate A."
In the Mist Front, Danzo sat in his commander's tent, a grim expression on his face. The rain outside seemed to echo his mood, a relentless downpour that matched the gloom he felt.
The news from the other fronts was not what he wanted to hear. Horyu had won a crucial victory against Cloud. The reports detailed how Horyu's tactics had dismantled the Cloud base, causing chaos and forcing them to regroup. It was clear that Horyu was becoming a significant force, much to Danzo's dismay.
Danzo's hatred for the Uchiha clan always simmered beneath the surface, despite being under Shisui's control. He had seen potential in Horyu and had hoped to eliminate him by sending him to the Cloud Front. Convincing Shisui to send Horyu there had been a small victory, a chance to rid himself of another Uchiha.
Danzo's satisfaction with his own scheming was short-lived. The latest reports from the other fronts told a different story. Horyu had won a crucial victory. The news made Danzo's stomach churn. The young Uchiha had not only survived but had excelled, turning a potential death sentence into a triumph. Danzo's grimace deepened as he read about Horyu's success. He had hoped that A, the Raikage, would retaliate with full force, potentially crushing Horyu under the weight of Cloud's might. But now, Horyu's success only served to irritate him further.
"Reports from Cloud Front, sir," a young Chunin said, handing over the latest intelligence.
Danzo barely glanced at the report before tossing it aside. "I already know the gist of it."
"That damn Uchiha brat," he muttered, crumpling the report in his fist. He had hoped the Cloud would be Horyu's grave, but instead, it had become a testament to his strength and leadership.
The tent flap rustled, and a Root member entered, bowing respectfully. "Danzo-sama, the latest from the other fronts," he said, handing over another scroll.
Danzo took the scroll, his expression sour. As he unrolled it, his eyes scanned the contents quickly. The reports detailed Konoha's strategic movements and the responses from their enemies.
"Shisui will send reinforcements to Horyu," Danzo mused aloud, a sinister smile curling his lips. "But how long can they hold out against a full force of enraged Cloud ninjas?"
He leaned back in his chair, plotting his next moves. The Mist Front was no less critical, and he knew his position here was a result of Shisui's control. Still, he had his own plans to execute, his own ambitions to fulfill.
Danzo's eyes narrowed as he considered his options. "If Horyu survives the Cloud's wrath, it will only prove his worth to Shisui," he thought bitterly. "But if I can maneuver correctly, I can still find a way to use this to my advantage."
A's response came a week later. Neji, on watch duty, felt a chill run down his spine as he sensed the approaching chakra. "Something's coming. Fast," he said, his Byakugan activated and scanning the horizon.
Horyu, standing nearby, nodded. "Get everyone ready. This isn't a drill."
The ground trembled slightly as the Cloud ninjas approached. Leading them was Darui, along with several others Horyu recognized. Horyu frowned as he saw at least five Jonin. This wasn't a small number. Although Konoha had sent reinforcements, it wasn't nearly enough.
"Why haven't we noticed them before?" Horyu asked.
"They're using some sort of seal that prevents us from seeing them," Neji replied.
Looking at the size of the army, Horyu gave the order. "Take positions and stop the Jonin. Leave the rest to me."
Asuma, coming forward to assess the situation, said, "You can't fight them all by yourself."
Horyu glared at him and calmly said, "This is an order." He then waited for the army to arrive. Darui was strong, but Konoha's side could hold them off for a while. In the meantime, he could clear the lesser threats. Remembering a scene from the anime, Horyu grinned, "Let's dance."
The Cloud ninjas advanced, weapons drawn. Horyu stepped forward, his Sharingan activated. As the first wave of enemies reached him, he moved with lethal efficiency. His sword flashed, cutting down any who dared to approach.
"Focus on the Jonin!" he shouted to his team. "I'll handle the rest."
Horyu gathered chakra in his stomach, feeling it ignite like a furnace. "Fire Release: Hell Fire Annihilation!" he declared. This was his variation of Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation, enhanced by his mastery over the fire element. The flames that erupted from his mouth were almost white, taking the form of various hellish creatures as they surged toward the enemy.
The Cloud ninjas hesitated, eyes wide with fear as the inferno advanced. Horyu charged into their ranks, his Sharingan spinning furiously, cutting down anyone who came near. His blade flashed through the air, slicing through flesh and bone with ease. His movements were swift and precise, each strike calculated to maximize damage.
A Cloud Chunin lunged at him, but Horyu sidestepped effortlessly, his sword cutting through the ninja's torso. Blood sprayed as the body crumpled to the ground. Another enemy tried to flank him, but Horyu spun, his blade cleaving through the attacker's neck in one fluid motion.
The hellfire he had unleashed continued to spread, the creatures of flame climbing over the enemy, burning them alive. The heat was so intense that the air shimmered, distorting the battlefield into a nightmarish landscape. Horyu moved through it like a specter of death, his sword and fire working in deadly harmony.
"Horyu, the Jonin are engaging our forces!" Kurenai shouted from a distance, her voice barely audible over the roar of the flames.
"Hold them off! I'll deal with the rest," Horyu replied, his tone cold and focused.
He slashed through another wave of Chunin, his Sharingan catching every movement, predicting every attack. One ninja managed to get close, thrusting a kunai at Horyu's chest. Horyu caught the man's wrist, twisted it, and drove his own sword through the ninja's heart.
As he pulled his blade free, he felt the presence of another group closing in. Turning, he unleashed another torrent of white-hot fire. The front ranks of the Cloud ninjas were incinerated instantly, their screams piercing the chaotic battlefield. Those who survived the initial blast were left disoriented, easy prey for Horyu's blade.
Amid the carnage, Horyu's eyes never stopped scanning, his Sharingan ensuring that no attack caught him off guard. His movements were almost dance-like, a blend of lethal precision and fluid grace. He ducked under a swipe, decapitating the attacker, then spun to block a strike from another, his sword finding the gap in the ninja's armor.
The ground was littered with bodies, the smell of burnt flesh thick in the air. Horyu showed no signs of slowing down. He advanced steadily, cutting a swath through the Cloud forces.
"Leader Darui, where are you?" a Cloud Chunin cried out in panic before Horyu's blade silenced him.
