"Fire Mastery?" Horyu's voice was laced with amusement as he turned his gaze towards Sasuke, who stood frozen in shock. With a confident grin, he declared, "I am not just a master—Sasuke, I am the God of Fire."

Hearing Horyu's bold claim, Jiraiya couldn't help but scoff quietly. Arrogant bastard, he thought. In the Shinobi World, being called a god wasn't something taken lightly. The First Hokage had been revered as the God of Shinobi, and his rival, Madara, held a similar title. Even Hanzo, whom he, along with Orochimaru and Tsunade, had struggled against, was considered no more than a demi-god. And here was Horyu, declaring himself a god of fire?

The others around him had mixed reactions. Sasuke was visibly shaken, standing rigid. The irony was not lost on anyone; the fire around him made him sweat, yet Sasuke felt a chill run down his spine. Itachi, with his own legendary prowess in fire techniques including the Amaterasu, watched Horyu with a mix of amazement and acknowledgment. Though he wielded the black flames that could consume anything, Itachi knew he could never claim the title of a god of fire, and Horyu's display made his claim seem credible.

Kiba and Sakura looked on bewildered, unsure how to process the spectacle. Kurenai, glowing with pride, watched her student surpass all expectations. As Horyu's sensei, she felt a surge of pride at his accomplishments.

Shino, ever the stoic, gave nothing away with his expression, but those who knew him well could see the slight agitation mixed with pride.

With the flames dancing around him, Horyu extended his arms, and the fire responded, coalescing into a brilliant sphere of pure destruction. "Let me show you the true extent of my power." His voice was calm, but the air around him crackled with intense energy.

In response, Sasuke's shock morphed into a determined scowl. He wasn't ready to concede. Channeling his lightning chakra, he prepared his next move, a powerful countermeasure he had developed during his intense training with Jiraiya. "Lightning Release: Thunder Clap Arrow!" he shouted, releasing a sharp, concentrated bolt of lightning straight at Horyu.

The bolt tore through the air, a brilliant streak of electric blue aimed at disrupting Horyu's fiery dominance. But Horyu was ready; with a flick of his wrist, he manipulated the fiery cloak to absorb the electrical energy, the flames turning a vibrant purple as they consumed the lightning. The crowd watched in awe as the meeting of fire and lightning resulted in a spectacular explosion, the sky briefly lighting up as if struck by a meteor. However, the explosion didn't scatter chaotically as one might expect. Under Horyu's precise control, the burst of energy was swiftly converted into a surge of flames.

These newly born flames, enhanced by the electrical charge, danced around Horyu in a vibrant display of purple and orange. The crowd gasped as the elemental forces clashed spectacularly. Horyu's control over his fire was so precise that not only could he absorb Sasuke's attack, but he could also use it to enhance his own. With a forceful thrust of his hands, Horyu directed the supercharged flames back towards Sasuke, now a swirling maelstrom of fire and lightning.

The swirling maelstrom of fire and residual lightning energy moved with a mind of its own, yet perfectly obedient to Horyu's will, bearing down on Sasuke with overwhelming force. The demonstration of such skill left no doubt about Horyu's mastery over his element, turning a potentially dangerous situation into a display of his formidable control and tactical acumen.

Sasuke dodged nimbly, the hairs on his neck standing up as he felt the heat graze past him. He realized then that he was not just fighting a peer, but a force of nature reshaped into the form of an Uchiha. Gritting his teeth, Sasuke prepared for another assault, his eyes never leaving Horyu's.

Sasuke's disbelief morphed into a torrent of frustration and rage. "Why?" he seethed internally, each thought punctuated by his pounding heart. "I've trained relentlessly, day and night. Why can't I surpass him? Why am I still not enough?" The emotions stirred a deep well of chakra within him, bubbling up with his burgeoning power.

In his clenched fist, a dense swirl of blue chakra formed, pulsating with energy. Lightning crackled and intertwined with the sphere, morphing into a spiraling lance of brilliant energy—Raiton: Rasen No Yari. Holding the lightning-infused Rasengan like a javelin, Sasuke's eyes narrowed, his gaze locked on Horyu. With a feral yell, "Die!" he hurled the electrified spear towards Horyu, aiming to impale his heart.

Horyu, his eyes sharp and unyielding, watched the approaching spear. With a subtle tilt of his head, he sidestepped the deadly projectile, its energy slicing through the air where he stood mere moments before. As the spear embedded itself into the tree behind him, sizzling with residual energy, Horyu's expression remained calm, almost pitying.

"You rely too much on brute force, Sasuke," Horyu chided softly, his voice carrying over the field. "True strength lies in understanding and mastery, not just raw power."

Undeterred, Sasuke dashed forward, his Sharingan spinning wildly as he readied another attack. His movements were a blur, each step leaving a crackling echo of energy as he drew upon his deep reserves of chakra. This time, he did not rely solely on jutsu; his taijutsu was fluid, a series of sharp, precise kicks and punches designed to break through Horyu's defenses.

Horyu parried each blow, his own style mirroring and then adapting to Sasuke's tactics. He flowed around Sasuke's assaults, his movements a testament to his Fluid Counter Style. With each contact, he redirected Sasuke's momentum, guiding him off-balance and countering with targeted strikes to vital chakra points, aiming to disrupt his flow of energy.

As Sasuke's frustration mounted, he switched tactics again, retreating briefly to regroup. He inhaled deeply, his chest swelling with a gathering storm of chakra. With a fierce exhalation, he unleashed a torrent of fire, a technique honed to perfection, designed to engulf Horyu in a conflagration.

But Horyu was unfazed. As the flames approached, he raised his hands, his own chakra flaring up in response. With a deft motion, he split the oncoming inferno, creating a path through the middle. The flames obeyed, parting around him like the Red Sea, his command over the element absolute.

Stepping through the flames unscathed, Horyu's figure seemed to grow, his presence on the battlefield almost godlike. "Fire will not bend me to its will; I bend fire to mine," he declared, his voice resonant with power.

Sasuke's eyes widened at the display, a mix of admiration and rivalry flaring within him. He wasn't ready to concede, his spirit too stubborn, too Uchiha to back down. With a low growl, he tapped into a deeper well of chakra, the air around him shimmering with the intensity of his will.

"Then witness this, Horyu!" Sasuke roared, his hands flashing through seals faster than before. Lightning enveloped him, crackling wildly as he summoned all his knowledge, all his pain and ambition into one final, desperate attack.

"Lightning Release: Thousand Birds Sharp Spear!" The air split with the sound of a thousand chirping birds, a spear of pure lightning forming in Sasuke's outstretched hand. With a warrior's cry, he thrust forward, the spear elongating, aiming to pierce through any defense Horyu could muster.

Horyu, his Sharingan catching every minute detail, waited until the last possible moment. As the spear neared, he vanished into thin air with supernatural speed, his hand reaching out to catch Sasuke's wrist, his other hand pressed against Sasuke's neck, forcing him to kneel, as Horyu's foot rested on the teen's head. With Sasuke's wrist twisted behind his back, he felt as if he was entirely at Horyu's mercy. The slightest movement, and he could sense his precarious position, vulnerable to any further aggression. The tension in his arm was a sharp reminder—any resistance might result in a broken bone. Yet, Sasuke's pride seared within him like a wound; how could he, an Uchiha, accept being so thoroughly dominated?

Trapped in his humiliating position, Sasuke's mind raced with fury and desperation. He contemplated the unthinkable—breaking his own arm to free himself for a counterattack. His breathing became ragged, his eyes blazed with unyielded spirit, unwilling to concede defeat even in the face of overwhelming force.

"Enough." The firm command cut through the tension like a blade. Shisui's voice echoed across the training field, bringing an immediate halt to the confrontation. Horyu's foot lifted from Sasuke's head, and he released the grip on his wrist, stepping back gracefully yet still watching Sasuke intently as he slowly rose to his feet.
