Chapter 2 - Life

In the morning as I left for school I couldn't stop thinking about that game last night. I really enjoyed playing it and it felt like it really sucked me in. I want to get back to playing it as soon as possible and might try to play during lunch at school today.

I walk through halls at school and went inside my classroom taking a seat. Class was simple and was just a lot of note taking for history and explaining the test for next week.

My friend Michael ditched me to go hang out with his new girlfriend and I was absolutely fine with that. I put my laptop on my desk after everyone left the room and started the game up.

In the background was a video of William looking at me or presumably by character in game.

"Your not fully turned yet but trust me. Your a vampire. After long enough you'll have to avoid the sun and silver but for now enjoy it while you can." William said with a bright smile his teeth a pearly white as he extended his for me to shake.

Option one-Shake his hand and introduce yourself.

Option Two-Explain you don't want any of this and that whoever turned you needs to be caught.

"Seems like a nice enough guy. Might as well pick the first one."

"Text Begin------------------------------

"The names Jackary." You say as you shake his hand with a firm grip and his look turns cold.

"So your part of the Fang family now. Too bad really but since your new to the fold I'll let you go this time." He said as he stopped back.

"What you mean." You ask as he steps back.

"Depending on who turns you that decides your bloodline and your part of the Fang Bloodline. As of right now my family and the Fang family are fighting over a few territories." William explains as he grabs a small book tossing it to you.

"What's this." You saya s you look at the old leather book.

"Just call it a gift. But when we meet again we might not be such good friends. Just remember I'm the one who helped you at the start." William said as he walked away and turning the corner out of view.

The body of the first man. The hunter William called him laid there unmived bleeding out as he was dead.

You decided to make your way home quickly and as fast possible as the blood from the cuts began to slow and stop finally.

You lock your apartment door and crash into bed panting from exhaustion. Your entire body sore as the book given to you drops out fo your pocket onto the bed as you finally sleep.

"Man I wish I could have had him as a ally. But I guess that book he gave me is useful. It's called a vampires guide." I say to myself as I close the laptop as class starts up again.

After school I get home as it rains some more and I go change my clothes. I sit on my bed and I feel a book under me. I look under the blankets and I see the book. The same leathery book that looks so old with the pages turning yellow as I grab it.

"Woah this is getting creepy." I did as I opened the book.

It smelled of old ink and the pages crinkled when turned. Written in a strange unsteady handwriting I could still read it.

Page one-------------------------

After becoming a vampire one will have seven days before the sun and silver start to have effect. Avoid them at all costs if you value living forever that is. As time goes on eventually every vampire will have the ability to use magic. In this book you will find some basic spells to use.

You will realize normal food doesn't satisfy your appetite any longer. And as such you will have to drink blood. Blood can be drunken from anything no matter the temperature. But animal blood can also risk making you sick. And never drink from another vampire. It will make you puke it all up and poison your body.

To drink from humans it's best to learn how to hunt like one. Find a human that is alone or separate them. Then make sure to have them as quiet as possible and when done hide the body inside the bottom of a dumpster or send it down a river.

Just don't leave it in the open.

Page ends.

"Okay this is not okay. Maybe I shouldn't keep playing." I thought to myslef but couldn't help but keep playing. It just kept sucking me in. And it felt like a second life. A breath of fresh air. I might regret it. But maybe I'm just losing my mind over nothing.
