In the corner of a coffee shop, two women sat facing each other, tension filling the air as they confronted one another.
"Isabella, I assume you saw the news of Alvey spending the night at my place. I advise you to initiate a divorce while you still can, to save yourself from being humiliated and thrown out later!" One woman sneered, tossing a gossip magazine in front of Isabella Grey with a disdainful look.
Isabella Grey calmly lifted her cup and took a sip of coffee. She glanced at the magazine cover. Without even looking, she knew the man on it was her husband, Alvey Capet, CEO of Fordge company.
And the woman intimately embraced in Alvey's arms was none other than the woman sitting across from her, Eva Blair, a rising social media influencer who thrived on entertainment gossip.
"The photography skills of this magazine are quite good, they managed to make my husband look quite handsome. But the same can't be said for Miss Blair in the photo." Isabella carefully observed Eva, "They should practice Photoshop more in post-production next time."
Not seeing any signs of anger or jealousy on Isabella's face as she had hoped, Eva felt a sense of defeat.
She pointed at Isabella, her voice filled with anger, "Who do you think you are, mocking me just because you're the CEO's wife?"
Isabella placed her empty coffee cup down, looked at her watch, and stood up from her seat. With her tall and graceful figure, she overshadowed Eva.
"Miss Blair, I need to go home and prepare dinner for my husband. Excuse me."
Eva's eyes flashed with anger, and she reluctantly retrieved something from her bag, handing it to Isabella with a suggestive tone, "Alvey left his belt at my place last night. Could you do me a favor and return it to him? You have no idea how much stamina he has in bed."
Isabella quickly glanced at the flashy belt, realizing it was the brand Alvey usually wore. Her expression changed, and her hand instinctively clenched.
Seeing Isabella's silence, Eva felt even more triumphant, "He really wore me out last night. My legs were still shaking when I got out of bed this morning."
Isabella looked at Eva again, suddenly smiling ever so slightly, exhibiting the tolerance of a devoted wife, "My husband is usually very gentle with me. I had no idea he could be so rough with women like you. You must have worked hard."
"Women like me?"
Hearing this, Eva trembled with rage, her eyes filled with a desire to destroy Isabella's beautiful face right then and there.
Eva swiftly reached for the hot coffee on the table, unexpectedly throwing it towards Isabella's face.
Luckily, Isabella was prepared and swiftly dodged, a few drops of hot coffee narrowly splashing onto her handbag.
As Isabella looked back at Eva, her eyes took on a sharpness that made Eva's body shiver.
"I heard you recently became the spokesperson for Luna Cosmetics. Are you truly suited for that role?"
Isabella replied with a gentle smile, her eyes conveying a sense of calm that made it impossible for anyone to associate her actions with threats or warnings.
Eva grew nervous. It took her a long time to secure the opportunity to shoot an advertisement for Luna Cosmetics.
"How dare you?" Eva felt a mix of nervousness and fear, though she continued to hold her ground, "Aren't you afraid I'll go to Alvey?"
