After dragging a tentative agreement out of Ankhur, they spent some time hashing out the details of their deal. Although, on the matter of autonomy they still had some things to figure out.
"I won't interfere in the way you govern your territory, Ankhur," Erik promised solemnly. "I will require some basic level of humanitarian rights, as well as no discrimination between vampires, shapeshifters, and humans, but I doubt I have to worry about that with you."
Ankhur nodded with stern agreement. Erik and Naeku had accused him of being prideful, and that was definitely a large factor in his initial refusal, but ensuring his people wouldn't suddenly have to endure a harsh ruler was no smaller a consideration.
