After telling salle to wait in her seat, Emily quickly headed over to Daniel. The teenager hadn't been sure that the other would actually come through, since his only reply had been [I'll see what I can do]. Daniel wasn't a magical wish granting genie after all and with what had happened in Slough, it wouldn't have surprised her if he might have been occupied with something else.
Seeing him come through the door, especially with someone who looked older than them, made Emily feel hopeful. As for the reason she had told Salle to stay behind, it was because she definitely didn't want her to be involved in any of this mess that she was currently in.
