"This guy is a criminal who ran away from Impel down LV.6! Fleet Admiral Sengoku has already told us that as long as we find their traces, we must do our best to bring them back to the headquarters!"
While Onigumo blocked Shot's attack, he yelled to his Vice Admiral buddies.
Onigumo's tough, but wrangling these LV.6 escapees solo isn't a walk in the park.
"Got it!"
Yamakaji replied swiftly.
Boom--!
Out of nowhere, Shot whipped out a flintlock gun, sending thick smoke billowing from its barrel.
A dark bullet aimed straight for Yamakaji.
Clang!
Yamakaji's heart skipped a beat as he swiftly armored up his blade, not taking any chances.
"This bullet... It's laced with Armament Haki!"
"This guy's a sharpshooting ace!"
Quickly sizing up Shot, Yamakaji stepped forward, gripping his long knife tightly.
Meanwhile, Onigumo seized the opportunity, leaping into action. His long hair billowed in the wind, transforming into six thick arms. Eight gleaming knives materialized before him, aimed straight at Choate's head!
Clang! Clang!
Two sharp clashes echoed as Yamakaji deflected the bullet, but his grip on the knife remained rock steady.
Onigumo's eight long knives met their match against two cross-shaped, dark firearms.
"This guy's got some serious power..."
Judging by Vasco Shot's size, it's clear he's no pushover.
The hair on Onigumo's head bristled even more, his eight arms, including his own, thickened like tentacles, each wrapped in Armament Haki as they thrust relentlessly at Shot.
Swish!
Shot narrowed his eyes, muscles bulging as he pushed back against Onigumo. He relied on the recoil to retreat forcefully.
"I'm just passing through, really!"
After the intense clash, Vasco Shot's eyes cleared, though his face remained flushed.
"Crosscut!"
In a flash, swordlight sliced through SHot's neck, instantly enveloped in dark Armament Haki.
Zizzi--!
Sparks flew as Vasco Shot stumbled away like a startled donkey, seeking refuge in what he deemed a safe spot.
Soon, he rose, wiping a trickle of blood from his neck with a grimace.
That was too close for comfort!
If his reaction had been just a hair slower, he'd be lying on the ground, lifeless! It was a narrow escape!
Vasco Shot seethed inwardly, shooting Doberman a murderous glare.
...
Clang! Clang!
Dangdangdang!
A sharp clash rang out, the dense, compact sound threatening to rupture eardrums in the next moment.
"Kahahahaha!! Now we're talking! That's the stuff! It's downright exhilarating!"
Sent reeling by a black-red fist, Bullet wasn't taken aback; instead, he was thrilled, his fighting spirit surging even higher.
'Fighting a guy like him would definitely add some spice to the battle!'
'The sense of accomplishment after taking him down would be even sweeter!'
But Atlas stood still, holding the same pose as when he threw the punch.
Yet his whole demeanor underwent a drastic transformation.
—Wrapped in black and red Haki, mysterious patterns slowly etched onto his body. Two lines extended from his eyes to his forehead, intertwining gradually.
Bullet wasn't lacking either. From head to toe, he was cloaked in a layer of black and purple Haki. With his fierce expression, he resembled a ghost's successor.
This kind of Haki coverage wasn't anything like Vergo's half-hearted attempt; it enveloped their entire bodies.
The guy in front of him might just be on par with him, if not better, in both skill and strength!
That level of talent is downright frightening.
Boom!
With a firm stomp, Bullet's eyes ablaze, he shot up from the ground, causing it to crack beneath him.
A violent burst of air resounded, sparks flying from the friction.
Whoosh!
Atlas raised his fist to block, his thick arm halting Bullet's advance.
Boom--!
Their footwork didn't falter as they continued to trade blows, their fists locked in a fierce struggle. With each collision, their calves clashed, sending out layers of invisible shockwaves that kicked up clouds of yellow sand.
Bullet had been raised in the military since childhood and later honed his skills aboard Roger's ship. Naturally, he had amassed considerable combat experience and prowess.
Atlas, too, had encountered numerous battles, big and small, on his journey of growth.
Clang!
Another sharp blow landed, unleashing immense power. Bullet's legs quivered momentarily under the force.
"Hah!"
Atlas grinned savagely as he landed another blow on Bullet.
Bullet boasted top-tier physical strength, endurance, and Haki skills in the sea. But in terms of raw power and speed, Atlas clearly had the upper hand. Otherwise, Bullet wouldn't find himself struggling against Atlas's relentless assault, nearly pushed to the ground.
Swish!
Atlas's speed surged suddenly, his movements akin to a butterfly darting through flowers. In the blink of an eye, he was behind Bullet.
"How...?"
Bullet's pupils dilated, instinctively tensing his waist and abdominal muscles. His muscles rippled like a rat scurrying through his body, exerting pressure against his thick back muscles.
Clang--!
Atlas eschewed his fists, opting instead to draw Kaminari from his waist, brandishing the bloody sword upward.
Puff!
Blood sprayed forth, piercing through the haki and leaving a bright red gash on Bullet's back. Pink-white flesh spilled out, blood gushing freely.
Boom! Dong Dong Dong!
With his heart pounding like thunder, Bullet doubled over, hands slamming onto the ground despite the injury on his back.
Suddenly, the once barren earth began to churn. Mountains, rivers, and vegetation blurred into obscurity as purple hues filled the space.
Rumble!
The island quivered uneasily, reshaping itself. A colossal, irregular purple giant emerged from the ground, its scarlet eyes glowering down like a god, fixing Atlas in its gaze.
