Chapter 7 - CHAPTER SEVEN

Lisa's POV

Lisa's alarm clock blares loudly, jolting her awake. She rubs her tired eyes and takes a deep breath, determined to start afresh. Despite the pain from what transpired yesterday between her and George, she refuses to let it define her.

With a steely resolve, Lisa pushes herself out of bed and heads to the bathroom. As the warm water cascades over her, she imagines it washing away the lingering feelings of hurt and betrayal. She takes her time, indulging in a soothing shower, and allowing herself a few moments of self-care and reflection.

Dressed in one of her favorite dresses, Lisa stands in front of the mirror, curling her hair and smoothing out any wrinkles on her dress. She looks herself in the eye and whispers, "You're capable, you're strong, and you won't let anyone dim your light."

As she entered the kitchen, Lisa made herself a cup of coffee, she savored the rich flavor and the comforting warmth it brings. She takes a moment to appreciate the little joys in life, reminding herself that she deserves happiness and respect.

"I hope you're not getting any ideas in that pretty little head of yours. Let's get one thing straight - there's nothing between us. You're just a toy I bought with my money, and I can use you whenever I please. He said walking into the kitchen and majestically interrupting her

Lisa was taken aback by his words, why would he say that to her. she asked herself

"I can't believe you would say such to me! Why are you cruel and wicked!"She yelled at him. "I deserve better than this. I won't let you belittle me! She said her voice trembling

"Oh, what are you going to do? Cry and run away like you always do? You're weak, Lisa. You'll never be able to stand up for yourself."He said mocking her

With tears streaming down her face, Lisa rushes out of the house, feeling a mix of frustration and irritation. She knows she deserves respect and happiness, and she won't settle for anything less.

Lisa stormed into her office, her face flushed with anger. She couldn't believe the audacity of George to say such mean things to her after what he did to her last night. As she sat down at her desk, she took a moment to compose herself. She knew that letting her emotions get the best of her wouldn't do any good in her workplace. Taking a deep breath, she reminded herself of her determination and professionalism. With a renewed focus, Lisa dove into her work, channeling her frustration into productivity. She refuses to let what happened to let her do something wrong at work because she does not want more scolding, humiliation, and embarrassment from George as he is waiting for any slight opportunity to do that to her.

Lisa's phone rang, and she saw George's name flashing on the screen. Reluctantly, she answered the call, her heart sinking as he asked her to come to his office. With a heavy sigh, she made her way down the hallway, wondering what he wanted this time.

"Good morning sir you asked for me," Lisa said calmly. George barely looked up from his work,

"Make me a cup of coffee," he said with so much authority

Lisa's eyebrows furrowed in confusion, but she obliged, hoping it would be a quick task. She carefully prepared the coffee, following all the steps, only to have George take a sip and declare it wasn't good enough.

"This coffee is terrible! Make me another" He said furiously

Lisa's frustration began to bubble up inside her as he demanded she redo it. Again and again, she made the coffee, each time hoping it would meet his impossible standards.

"Sir, I've made it three times already. I'm following the same steps each time. What's wrong with it?" she asked calmly trying not to get angry.

"I don't care! Just make it right!"He said fuming with anger.

But as exhaustion set in, Lisa's patience wore thin. She couldn't take it anymore. In a moment of frustration, she raised her voice.

"No, George! I'm not doing it again. I've tried my best, and it's not good enough for you."

The office fell silent as their voices echoed in the room. George's face turned red with anger.

"How dare you talk back to me? Get out of my office!"He yelled back.

Lisa, feeling a mix of anger and relief, turned and walked away, determined to stand up for herself always.

Lisa got back home, her body aching from a long day at work. She had been working all and George isn't making anything easy for her, he is hell-bent on making her life a living hell. All she wanted was to relax and have a peaceful evening at home.

But as soon as she stepped into the kitchen, she realized she had another task ahead of her - making dinner for herself and George. Despite her exhaustion, she mustered up the energy to prepare a meal, hoping George would appreciate it and be nice for once

As the delicious aroma filled the air, Lisa felt a glimmer of satisfaction. She set the table, awaiting George's arrival. When he finally walked through the door, she greeted him with a tired smile.

But instead of appreciating her efforts, George took one look at the food and scoffed.

"What is this? It looks terrible! Can't you do anything right?"

Lisa's heart sank as George's words pierced through her tired soul. She had put in so much effort, only to be met with criticism and insults.

"George, I worked really hard to make this meal. I'm sorry if it's not up to your expectations, but I did my best," she said angrily

George's face twisted into a mocking smile as he continued to belittle her.

"Your best? Ha! You're just not good at anything, Lisa. It's no wonder you can't even make a decent meal."

Lisa felt a mix of anger and sadness welling up inside her. She had always tried to be strong and determined, but George's words cut deep.

But despite the hurt, Lisa refused to let his insults define her. She took a deep breath and stood her ground.

"George, I may not be perfect, but I am good at many things. I won't let your words bring me down. I deserve respect!"

With that, Lisa walked away from the table, leaving George to ponder his hurtful words. She retreated to her room, determined to focus on her growth and happiness.

George's pov

He came back home very drunk again today after a night out with his friends and all he wanted was to satisfy his sexual urges. He made his way to her room and surprisingly the door was open, he met her sleeping and picked her up to his room, despite all her struggles to free herself from his hold but she couldn't.

He dropped her on his bed and climbed on top of her "Please don't hurt me like this "she said while giving pleading eyes and hiccuping

"Aww! Sweetheart, I won't hurt you, what type of husband do you think I am?" he said laughing

She was scared to death, her lips trembled with fear and ended up getting his attention, without wasting any time he crashed his lips on hers and this time he feasted on their softness, he sucked her lower lip with his lips before nibbling it with his teeth.

Her stomach dropped, and his breath was all cigarettes and alcohol.

She started pushing him away struggling with everything she got, You can do it. She kept on ranting this in her mind, There was no one to save her, so she had to be her own hero, Even if it meant giving herself to this self-centered jerk for tonight.
